Apparatus and apparatus assembly

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and an apparatus assembly for assessing the suitability of a membrane, such as an osmotic membrane in an osmotic process. Furthermore, the apparatus, and apparatus assembly provide the means to optimise the parameters of an osmotic process, including the ability to gather key data for different membrane based osmotic systems to enable osmotic process and system optimisation.

SELF-BACK FLUSHING FILTRATION ASSEMBLY

A self-back flushing filtration assembly includes an inner container, an outer container, and a filter cartridge. The inner container is configured to receive treated water by way of a filter cartridge. The outer container is configured to hold untreated water and sleeve the filter cartridge and the inner container. The inner container and the filter cartridge are moveably positioned within the outer container to compress and draw the untreated water through filter media within the filter cartridge by way of a filter cap. The filter cap is movably positioned within a cavity of the outer container to draw treated water from the inner container through the filter media of the filter cartridge.

Filtration filter

A filtration filter comprises a porous film including a central film portion having a plurality of through holes and an outer edge portion adjacent to the central film portion. The porous film portion lies in a flat plane in the absence of a force being applied to the central portion of the central film portion. A frame holds the outer edge portion of the porous film in such a manner that when a force is applied to the central film portion in a first direction, the central film portion moves in the first direction relative to the flat plane and the outer edge portion moves in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, relative to the flat plane. In this way stresses applied to the porous film during a filtering operation are reduced.

FAT PROCESSING SYSTEM

Lipoaspirate can be treated for use in fat grafting procedures. For example, the lipoaspirate can be placed in a container having an inlet for receiving the lipoaspirate and an outlet for dispensing and removal of desired materials from the lipoaspirate. The inlet and the outlet can be located on a common side of first and second filter elements. An activation mechanism can be actuated to move the first filter element relative to the second filter element within the container to separate cellular components of the lipoaspirate from non-cellular components of the lipoaspirate.

A filter unit, or more specifically, a filter box for a chip conveyor for conveying cutting chips that are produced in the operation of a machine tool, such as a lathe or the like.
