Separation of clean water from effluent streams

A process for separating clean water which has an impurities content of less than 100 ppm from waste materials such as farm manure is disclosed. In a first step, a plate separator splits the waste material stream into a first effluent fraction and a first solids fraction. The first solids fraction then undergoes two stages of pressing to increase the solids contents to about 30 to 40 percent which makes it suitable for granulation or pelletizing. The first effluent fraction is treated in successive stages with various chemical agents resulting in the removal of most of the solids and inorganic impurities from the effluent to achieve drinkable water purity.

Separator for dewatering particulate matter suspended in water

The disclosed technology regards a water/solids separator for filtering slurry into residue cakes and filtrate water. The separator includes a frame supporting a plurality of rollers supporting a filter media belt, a plurality of blades and wipers for cleaning the rollers and removing excess filtrate water and cake material, and an inlet water manifold to distribute slurry water uniformly on the filter media belt. The frame supports a filter bed, with a slurry receiving area having a perforated panel at its base, for receiving, pre-filtering and moving the slurry through the separator, and a filter bed collection tub with an exit aperture for collecting and delivering filtrate to a water holding tank. The filter media belt traverses the plurality of rollers, through and about the filter bed, supported along a portion of its path by the perforated panel. Both a residue cake bin and a clean water holding tank may be provided with the system to collect residue and filtrate water, respectively, for re-use or disposal. The present invention also regards a method for separating filtrate water and cake residue from slurry, using the water/solids separator herein described, by continuously providing slurry through the inlet water manifold, while powering the gear motor to cause rotation of the drive roll, resulting in rotation of the filter media about the plurality of rollers. By this method and the disclosed technology, a portion of the water from the slurry is removed, through the filter media belt and the perforated panel.

Device and method for separating substances of different flowability that are mixed together

An apparatus for separating mixed together substances of different flowability has a frame structure and a hollow drum with a perforated circumferential surface driven in a revolving manner and mounted on the frame structure. A pressing element lies externally in the region of the circumferential surface of the drum and is driven in a revolving manner, such that the drum and the pressing element form a product intake wedge for the feeding in a product stream, of material to be pressed. The drum and pressing element also form a pressing region. A discharge element is associated with the pressing element downstream of the pressing region in the product stream conveying direction, for discharging residues that remain on the pressing element after pressing. The discharge element is an actively drivable, endless discharge belt for discharging the residues in a discharge direction. A corresponding method is also provided.

The present invention provides a multi-structure filtration device for filtering, separating, and dehydrating foreign substances in water, the multi-structure filtration device comprising: a filtration tank filled with filtration target fluid inside; a filtration device unit having a cylindrical double drum structure, installed in the filtration tank so that a part of the filtration device unit is submerged in the filtration target fluid, and including two or more filters having different mesh sizes that are respectively wound on an inside and an outside of the filtration device unit, and one or more washing modules washing foreign substances attached to the filter wound on an outside of the filtration device unit. Accordingly, the multi-structure filtration device can have excellent filtration performance by double-filtering the target fluid using two or more filters, can operate in an eco-friendly manner by recycling filtered water and effectively washing the filters using the filtered water without separate chemicals, can increase the durability of the filters, and can reduce the washing and processing cost by reusing the filters.
