DISC FILTER CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A disc filter system and method for dewatering a fiber suspension is disclosed. The disc filter system includes a disc filter and a control system. The disc filter comprises an inlet for introducing the fiber suspension into the vessel, a rotor shaft and a variable speed drive operatively coupled to the rotor shaft, and at least one filter element coupled to the rotor shaft wherein the at least one filter element rotates with the rotor shaft. The control system measures a torque on the variable speed drive and causes the variable speed drive to adjust the rotational speed of the rotor shaft from a first rotational speed to a second rotational speed based on the torque on the variable speed drive.

An indoor growing facility includes a grow zone configured for growing crops and an air handling apparatus comprising a supply plenum wall at one end of the grow zone, and a return plenum wall at an opposite end of the grow zone. The return plenum wall may include intake openings that vary in size to create variable suction. The indoor growing facility may also include an irrigation system that includes an irrigation skid coupled to a supply tank, fertigation apparatus, and the grow zone. The indoor growing facility may also include a filtration system comprising an ozone apparatus, a regenerative filter apparatus, and a drum filter apparatus.

The invention relates to a drum filter for water filtration and method therefor. The drum filter comprises: a housing; a filter drum arranged in the housing and comprising a filter surface, wherein the filter drum is rotatable around a shaft; an inlet for supplying water for filtering to an outward facing side of the filter surface for the purpose of collecting fouling on the filter surface; an outlet for discharging filtered water; and a sprayer for spraying clean the filter surface, wherein the sprayer is configured to spray substantially transversely over the outward facing side of the filter surface.
SEPARATING DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING A SEPARATING DEVICE
A separating grid includes a separating unit arranged, when in use, in a position of inclination obliquely upwards in the direction of flow of running water, fixed grid bars, movable grid bars, and a drive unit connected to the movable grid bars to actuate the movable grid bars to interact with the solid particles and to draw the solid particles out of the running water and to carry the solid particles upwards along the fixed grid bars. A position detection device detects the top position or the bottom position of the movable grid bars. A water level detection device detects the water level of the running water. A control device controls the drive unit according to information from the position detection device regarding the position of the movable grid bars and information from the water level detection device regarding the water level.
