WATER CONDITIONING SYSTEMS
A portable water conditioning system is provided that includes a water conditioner, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The water conditioner has a plurality of conditioning stages that condition water. The plurality of conditioning stages include, in a direction of flow of the water through the water conditioner, a reverse osmosis stage and a deionizing stage. The first sensor detects a first condition of the water before the reverse osmosis stage. The second sensor detects a second condition of the water after the reverse osmosis stage. The controller is in communication with the first and second sensors and determines a health status of the reverse osmosis stage based the first and second conditions. The first and second conditions each include a level of total dissolved solids of the water.
Liquid filter fuel consumption estimation
A system and method for monitoring the negative impact of a filtration system on the fuel economy of an internal combustion engine. A filter monitoring controller receives engine operating parameters of the internal combustion engine. The filter monitoring controller determines an amount of power generated by the internal combustion engine based at least in part on the engine operating parameters. The filter monitoring controller determines a filter hydraulic power consumption of a filtration system providing a fluid to the internal combustion engine. The filter monitoring controller determines a fuel economy impact of the filtration system on the internal combustion engine based at least in part on the filter hydraulic power consumption of the filtration system. The filter monitoring controller compares the fuel economy impact of the filtration system to a threshold fuel economy impact to determine whether a filter element of the filtration system requires servicing.
FILTRATION DEVICE
A first plate of a filter element includes a first tubular portion having a substantially cylindrical shape that protrudes toward a lid member with the filter element inserted into a filter case. The first tubular portion includes first projections protruding outward in a radial direction. The lid member includes a second tubular portion inserted into a hollow portion of the first tubular portion. With the lid member attached to the first plate, the first projections are inserted into notches formed in ribs provided along an outer circumferential surface of the first tubular portion.
FILTRATION DEVICE
A protruding portion is formed on an inner tube inserted into a hollow portion of a filter medium so as to protrude upward from a flange portion. The flange portion having a substantially circular plate shape is disposed on a lower side of a second plate. A recessed portion into which the protruding portion is inserted is formed on a surface on a lower side of the second plate provided so as to cover an opening at a lower end of the filter medium.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR DETECTING A DAMAGE OF A FILTER FABRIC OF A DISC FILTER AT A DISC FILTER UNIT USING MICROPHONES
The invention relates to an arrangement for detecting a damage of a filter fabric (8) of a disc filter (1) at a disc filter unit comprising disc filters. The arrangement comprises a measurement bar (20) comprising two or more microphones (21), a store (45) including stored sound samples, at least one alarming means and a processing arrange-ment (43) for analyzing online sound or sound samples captured by the microphones (21). The processing arrangement (43) is connected to the microphones (21), the store (45) and the at least one alarming means. The invention also relates to a method for detecting a damage of a filter fabric (8) of a disc filter (1) at a disc filter unit.
LEAK DETECTION ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH A FILTER ASSEMBLY FOR A REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE
A filter assembly and a method of operating the same to detect water leaks are provided. The filter assembly includes a filter housing for receiving a filter cartridge and at least partially defining a drain trough positioned below the filter cartridge for collecting leaked water. A light source is positioned proximate the drain trough for directing light through the drain trough and a light sensor positioned proximate the drain trough for sensing the light directed through the drain trough. A controller uses the light sensor to monitor the light generated by the light source and determines that a leak exists when an intensity of sensed light is reduced by the leaked water.
PERSONAL WATERCRAFT
A personal watercraft includes a ship body and a recovery water passage. The ship body includes a deck and a hull. The recovery water passage is provided in the hull, and includes a water intake opening through which water can be taken in when the ship body plains on a water surface, and a discharge opening through which the taken water is discharged. The recovery water passage is formed with a filter accommodation space that accommodates a filter that traps minute foreign matters contained in water flowing through the recovery water passage.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MONITOING AIR QUALITY
An air quality monitoring device and system for monitoring multiple streams of air. The present invention includes structural components to separate and/or obtain multiple streams of air and a single optical particle counting (OPC) system. The structural components may include a housing for the OPC system and a conduit. The conduit may be a flexible tube or fixed structural channel. The OPC system may include multiple optical detectors and an optical emitter. The optical emitter may be a laser.
