Compact double shut-off valve

A valve member having a first flow path and a second flow path, and configured to control both flow paths through a filter assembly. The valve member allows control of the two flow streams in a compact space compared to traditional valves. The valve member may require less space to operate due to its compact nature as compared to traditional external valves with multiple handles that each require space to rotate. The valve member may also be used to easily shut-off flow to a filter of a filter assembly without limiting use of another filtration assembly in the same filtration system. Alternatively, the valve member may shut off flow to a corresponding filter of a stand-alone filter assembly that is not connected to another filter assembly. Also, the valve member allows less expensive and more lightweight filtration systems.

PURE WATER SYSTEMS

Modular pure water systems are provided that have a tank and a cover assembly, wherein the tank and cover assembly are configured to removably receive therebetween one or more expansion tubes in a fluid tight manner to allow for selective volume expansion of the pure water system. Also provided are purification media bags for pure water systems that have a shape, construction, and/or material that mitigates the flow of water between the outer wall of the bag and an inner wall of the pure water systems.

MODULAR FILTER ASSEMBLY

A fluid filter assembly that is defined by a head portion, a base portion, and a filter tube housing that is captured therebetween. Each head portion includes more than one fluid inlet and more than one fluid outlet that are oriented relative to the respective head portion such that a plurality of fluid filter assemblies can be fluidly connected to one another to provide a desired degree of filtration of the fluid passed therethrough and such that the fluid filter assemblies can be oriented in a plurality of orientations relative to one another to provide a desired configuration of the fluid filter assembly.

The invention relates to an apparatus (1, 1) for filtering a fluid, in particular a Bernoulli filtering apparatus (1, 1), comprising: a housing (3, 3), a plurality of filter elements (55), arranged in the housing (3, 3), for filtering the fluid, an inlet (5) for admitting fluid to be filtered into the housing (3, 3), and an outlet (7) for discharging the filtered fluid from the housing (3, 3). The invention solves the stated problem by providing the housing (3, 3) with a plurality of housing segments (23) which can be connected to adjacent housing segments (23), and by a filter element (55) being arranged at least partially inside each housing segment (23), and by the housing segments (23) and filter elements (55) together forming a modularly assembled filter module (9). The invention also relates to apparatuses of the kind initially specified which further comprise: at least one housing cover (25) for closing the housing, at least one filter cleaning mechanism (11) for cleaning the filter element (55) of residues from the filtered fluid, and at least one backflushing system (13, 13) in fluid communication with the filter element (55), for conducting and discharging the residues from the filtered fluid. The invention solves the stated problem by the filter cleaning mechanism (11) being associated with the housing cover (25) and in particular being fixed thereto, and by the backflushing system (13, 13) being associated with the housing (3, 3), in particular with housing segments (23).

GRAVITY TYPE WATER-PURIFYING DEVICE

A gravity type water-purifying device is provided. A gravity type water-purifying device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a filtered water generating part comprising a filler module for filtering out foreign materials contained in raw water by using gravity, a housing which stores a predetermined amount of the raw water and has a filtering space formed therein in which the filter module is disposed, and an outlet formed through the housing to allow the filtered water generated through the filter module to be discharged to the outside; and a filtered water storing part which has a filtered water storing space formed therein in order to store a predetermined amount of filtered water generated by the filtered water generating part, is detachably connected to the filtered water generating part by unit of a connection pipe so as to be separable from the filtered water generating part and be movable by itself, and is provided with an opening/closing unit for discharging filtered water stored in the filtered water storing space to the outside.

Filter assembly with self-contained disposable filter cartridge
10441908 · 2019-10-15 ·

A filtering device includes a two-piece housing and a disposable, self-contained filter cartridge. The filter cartridge includes a cylindrical filter with a specialized flow bypass endcap, and possibly a second differentiated endcap, wherein each endcap is coupled to opposing ends of the cylindrical filter. The flow bypass endcap includes two channels for the passage of fluids, one channel for the ingress of pre-filtered fluid another channel for egress of filtrate. The bottom endcap can block fluid flow into the end of the cylindrical filter. The filter cartridge includes an impermeable bladder which may be coupled to the outer surface of each endcap such that the bladder completely encloses the filter media. Fluid entering the system passes through ingress channel of the flow bypass endcap into bladder (which surrounds the filter and isolates the fluid from the filter housing).
