A filtering system and method for installing the system on an HVAC or computer server closet. The filtering system comprises of two horizontal rails and two vertical rails, the rails are secured together to form a rectangular structure. The rails define a channel on a front side of the rails. An air filtering screen that is placed over the front side of the rails. And, a slat that secures the air filter within the channel of the rails.

An oil mist separator for a crankcase ventilation system of an internal combustion engine may include a nozzle device having a plurality of nozzles. The plurality of nozzles may each have a nozzle outlet. An impact wall may be disposed opposite to the plurality of nozzles and may be covered with a separation material. A distance may be configured between the plurality of nozzles and the separation material, which is reduced compared to a surrounding region. The plurality of nozzles may project towards the separation material and thereby reduce the distance of the nozzle outlet of the plurality of nozzles to the separation material compared to the surrounding region.

The invention creates a dust collector having a container through which the dirty air passes. The container includes an inlet for acceptance of dirty air and an outlet for exhaustion of clean air. In the preferred embodiment, between the inlet and outlet is a serpentine pathway into which a fogging apparatus emits a fog of water to capture dust particles in the air passing therethrough. An alternative embodiment passes a dirty airflow through the fog while creating turbulence within the airflow to enhance contact between the fog and dirt particles.

LOUVERED SEPARATOR
20170157545 · 2017-06-08 · ·

The invention relates to a louvered separator for separating water from an air flow. The louvered separator comprises a number of vertical slat structures having a constant profile, horizontally spaced from each other so as to form horizontally tortuous separating channels (1) in the spaces between the slats. The slat structures are provided with water-collecting troughs (2,3). The slat structure comprises two separate slats having differing constant profiles; in the air flow direction (4) a foremost front slat (5) and a following back slat (6). The front slat comprises, in the flow direction, a leading edge (7), a middle area (8) and a trailing edge (9), and the back slat comprises, in the flow direction, a leading edge (10), a middle area (11) and a trailing edge (12). According to the invention, the water-collecting trough (2,3) is limited to the area of the trailing edge (12) of the back slat (6), so that the front slat (5) entirely, and the back slat (6) for more than a half of its length from the leading edge (10) towards the trailing edge (12), form only even surfaces to guide the flow.

Air cleaner for removing air pollutants from an air stream

The present invention relates to an air cleaner for removing air pollutants from an air stream, for instance such as the cleaning exhaust/intake gas of an amusement machine, said air cleaner comprising a filter device including at least one filter layer (4a, 4b) held by a filter holder (5) in said airflow substantially perpendicular to a main flow direction thereof and including a plurality of preferably stick-shaped filter elements (6) neighbouring each other. In accordance with the present invention, the filter device has no closed surrounding along the circumference of the filter layers, but provides for an open side along at least a portion of the periphery of the filter layer. At least one circumferential side section (7, 8) of the filter layer parallel to or tangential to the longitudinal axis of an outermost filter element is formed as an open side free of flow control elements surrounding the filter layer. Contrary to the prior art where the filter layer is usually enclosed in a tubular flow channel, the present invention avoids such flow-control-elements for guiding the air stream through the filter layer and/or preventing the airflow from diverging away from the filter layer, wherein in particular the filter layer, at its open side, is dispensed with flow-control-elements such as flow guiding surfaces, flow channel walls, fences or housing walls surrounding the filter layer.
