A virus elimination assembly for sterilizing air includes a base that is hollow. An intake vent is pivotally coupled to the base to direct air into the base. A canister is coupled to the base and the canister is in fluid communication with an interior of the base. A filter tray is slidably positioned in the canister and a filter is integrated to pass air therethrough. A blower tray is slidably positioned in the canister and a blower is integrated therein to blow air when the blower is turned on. A light tray is slidably positioned in the canister and a light emitter is integrated therein to eliminate viruses and bacteria. An exhaust vent is pivotally integrated into the canister to direct the air that has been sanitized by the light emitter out of the exhaust vent.

An air cleaner includes a housing and an access cover. The internal volume of the housing can be reached through an opening in a side wall of the housing. A filter element having fluted filter media is removable and replaceable from the air cleaner. The housing is constructed and arranged to cam the element into sealing engagement with the housing. The access cover includes structure to help support and ensure proper seating of the filter element within the housing. A method of installing the filter element in the air cleaner includes sliding a portion of the filter element against a slide surface in the housing. A method of servicing an air cleaner includes tilting the filter element against a tilt surface in the housing to release a seal between the filter element and the housing. The filter element can have a handle to assist in servicing of the air cleaner. The housing can have a window to allow visual inspection of the internal component of the housing and to determine visually whether a filter element is installed therein.

The purification device comprises a housing provided with a number of inlet perforations for allowing the intake air to enter the housing and a number of air outlet perforations for allowing air purified by the purification device to leave the housing. The purification device moreover comprises a fan arranged inside the housing to suck the intake air into the housing and blow the purified air out of the housing. The purification device further comprises an ultraviolet radiation lamp arranged inside the housing to irradiate the intake air. The purification device also comprises a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter arranged to filter the intake air before the intake air leaves the housing as purified air. The filter comprises a plurality of pleats arranged in such a manner that the angle between adjacent pleats is 30 degrees or less.

A filter assembly for mounting on a side interior surface of a horizontal or vertical return duct of a furnace includes at least one pocket filter having a retaining collar at its peripheral surface. The filter assembly also includes a frame. The frame has a header frame with multiple frame members forming an open framework defining at least one receiving area for receiving the pocket filter. The retaining collar attaches to or engages at least one of the frame members. The frame also includes at least one rail that is mountable on the interior side surface of the return duct. The rail defines a receiving structure for receiving the header frame so that the header frame can be slidable on the rail from an open position to a closed position with respect to the duct.

A refrigerator and an air purifier for a refrigerator are provided. The air purifier may include a case configured to be mounted on an upper surface of a cabinet of a refrigerator and in which inlet holes and an outlet hole are formed, a plurality of fan motor assemblies provided inside of the case to force a flow of air, a plurality of filter assemblies mounted in the case to partition a space between the inlet holes and the plurality of fan motor assemblies and purify suctioned air, a controller that controls driving of the plurality of fan motor assemblies, and a gas sensor connected to the controller to detect harmful gas in a kitchen space. The controller may control driving of the plurality of fan motor assemblies through detection of the harmful gas by the gas sensor.
