An aperture is positioned in a front of the housing and is configured to allow flow of air into the interior space. An opening is positioned in a back of the housing and is configured to allow flow of air from the interior space. A slot is positioned in a top of the housing. A filter is selectively insertable into the interior space through the slot. The filter is configured to remove particulates from the air that flows through the interior space from the front to the back.

A filter assembly for separating and removing a liquid from a compressed fluid stream includes a filter element for separating the liquid from the fluid, a purge valve, and an elongated valve operator for actuating the purge valve. The top of the filter element has a shroud that decreases the flow area of the entering fluid stream to induce a vortex of the fluid, allowing the liquid to separate from the fluid. The purge valve is located at the bottom of the filter element for draining the separated liquid. The elongated valve operator axially extends through the filter element and is moveable by an actuating piston located at the top of the filter element, in response to elevated pressure in the filter assembly. The filtered air is dried through a desiccant body and then outputted from the filter assembly to be used in an air brake system.

FILTER SYSTEM AND REPLACEABLE FILTER CARTRIDGE

A filter system can include a replaceable filter cartridge having a spinner element structured to swirl a mixed flow of compressible fluid and oil, as well as an end cap used to enclose an open interior of a filter media of the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge can be configured to interface with and be supported by a mesh holder. A housing can be attached over the filter cartridge to enclose the system and create a flow path for a mixed flow of compressible fluid and oil. The replaceable filter cartridge can be constructed of materials suitable for disposal in a waste incineration process. The mesh holder can be inserted on a combo-block and secured in place by a compression fitting. A stand pipe can extend into the interior of the filter media and be coupled with a central passage of the mesh holder.

Indoor unit of air-conditioning apparatus

An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes: an air purifying filter including a filter body for air purification, a pair of bearing units, and a pair of protrusions that extend outward from the filter body; and an air filter for dust collection including a pair of shaft units coupled with the respective bearing units, and a pair of supports accommodating the respective protrusions. The protrusions are placed into the respective supports from the direction of the respective shaft units.

The air cleaner may include a first air cleaning module including a first fan, a first filter, and a first inlet through which air is suctioned in a radial into the first filter; a second air cleaning module provided over the first air cleaner including a second fan, a second filter, and a second inlet through which air is suctioned in the radial direction to the second filter; and an air flow controller coupled with the second air cleaning module and including a third fan to control a flow of the air discharged from the second air cleaning module.

A coolant gas, multi-filter filtering unit, for use with servers and other electrical equipment that can be utilized as a retrofit device for existing servers or provided as OEM equipment with the server is described. A series of static centrifugal force filtering units are position upstream of a replaceable surface filter. The surface filter can be a HEPA filter, or alternatively include an absorbent layer or separate third filter of charcoal to remove VOCs.

A control unit is provided for monitoring the efficacy of an air filter in the ducting of an operating HVAC system. Specifically, the control unit monitors airflow velocity in the ducting to evaluate and control the power requirements that are necessary for the HVAC system to maintain a constant airflow velocity in the ducting of the system. In accordance with the present invention, the power requirements are measured and evaluated during the duty cycle of an air filter, to thereby determine when the air filter needs to be removed or replaced.
