Radial seal air filter
Various example embodiments relate to a filtration system. The filtration system comprises a housing having a first housing end and a second housing end. The housing defines a central compartment therein. The housing comprises a first alignment portion disposed on the first housing end. The filtration system further comprises a filter element positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter element has a first filter end and a second filter end. The filter element comprises filter media and a second alignment portion disposed on the first filter end. The second alignment portion is complementary to the first alignment portion. The installation of the filter element within the housing causes the first alignment surface and the second alignment surface to align to provide for engagement of a radial seal between the filter element and the housing.
Filter holder and filter arrangement
A filter holder for a filter element that has an oval-shaped cross section transverse to a longitudinal direction thereof, the filter holder including: a receiving section configured to receive the filter element; fluid inlet for allowing fluid to be filtered into the filter holder; fluid outlet for letting the fluid filtered out of the filter holder; the fluid inlet is arranged so the inflow direction of the fluid to be filtered into the fluid inlet is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the filter element; the fluid inlet has a guide member configured to deflect the fluid as it flows into the fluid inlet such that it flows around in a spiral in the filter element that can be received in the receiving section in order to separate particles contained in the fluid to be filtered on a wall of the receiving section with the aid of centrifugal force.
AIR FILTER
An air filter for a fresh-air system of an internal combustion engine may include a filter housing, a filter element, and an inner shroud. The filter element may be arranged in the filter housing and may include an annular filter body, a first end plate, and a second end plate. The inner shroud may be arranged in the filter housing and may be rotatable about a longitudinal center axis of the filter housing. A first torque coupling may be disposed between the first end plate and an end wall of the inner shroud. The first torque coupling may have a driver contour on an inner side of the first end plate and a counterpart driver contour disposed on an outer side of the end wall. The driver contour may be engaged axially in the counterpart driver contour and facilitate torque transmission between the end wall and the first end plate.
Housing and filter system having a housing
A housing (110), in particular for receiving a filter element (10) for filtering of a fluid, comprising along a longitudinal axis (A) a housing body (112), and a mating housing cover (114). A push-twist structure (120) is provided for connecting the housing body (112) and the housing cover (114) by way of a push-twist mount, the push-twist structure (120) having mating push-twist elements (122, 124) on the housing body (112) and the housing cover (114). An anti-rotation lock structure (160) is provided for securing the push-twist structure (120) in its closed position in an anti-rotation lock manner. The anti-rotation lock structure (160) provides at least one anchor portion (162) arranged along the circumference of the outer one of the housing body (112) and the housing cover (114). A clip element (170) is provided for connecting to the anchor portion (162). The clip element (170) and the anchor portions (162) are configured so that the clip element (170) is to be mounted to the anchor portion (162) in a predominantly circumferential mounting direction.
Air filter system and air filter element for an air filter system
A filter system for intake air of an internal combustion engine has a housing with a cover. A filter element is arranged in the housing. An inlet feeds a medium to be filtered into the housing and an outlet discharges the medium from the housing. The filter element has a filter body with first end face and opposite second end face. The filter element has an open first end plate at the first end face and a second end plate at the second end face. A support tube is arranged concentrically about a longitudinal axis in the housing and attached with a first end to the housing. The support tube is arranged in the interior of the filter element and radially supports the filter body. The second end plate rests on the second end of the support tube and on an inner cover contour of the cover with anti-rotation action.
Filter Element, in Particular for Gas Filtration
A filter element is provided with at least one filter medium body and a flow chamber that is at least partially enclosed by the at least one filter medium body. A distribution element is provided that distributes a flushing gas to be introduced into the flow chamber. A carrier body that forms a wall element of the wall delimiting the flow chamber is provided. The distribution element is fastened to the carrier body. A filter device is provided with a filter housing that accommodates the filter element and is further provided with a flushing gas device.
SUCTION DEVICE HAVING A HOUSING WHICH ENCLOSES A PROCESS CHAMBER
The invention relates to a suction unit (1), having a housing (3) which encloses a process chamber (2) and has at least one volume flow inlet (4) and at least one volume flow outlet (5), wherein the housing (3) conducts the volume flow and, to this end, has a helical contour (32) with at least one turn (31), the at least one volume flow inlet (4) is arranged at the upper end of the helical contour (32) such that the volume flow is introduced tangentially and is conducted downwards along the helical contour (32) inside the process chamber (2), and the volume flow outlet (5) is arranged on the helical axis (33) of the helical contour (32), and a filter body (6) is arranged upstream of the volume flow outlet (5) in the interior of the process chamber (2) through which filter body (6) the volume flow is conducted.
Particle Discharge Device, Filter Assembly, and Method

FILTER CARTRIDGE ARRANGEMENTS AND ASSEMBLIES; PREFERRED FEATURES; METHODS OF ASSEMBLY AND USE
The present disclosure relates to filter assemblies. The features described and characterized are typically applied in gas (for example, air) cleaner assemblies. A typical use is in air cleaner assemblies for vehicles or other equipment. The techniques described relate, at least in part, to provision of assemblies with preferred configurations for convenient servicing and operation, while ensuring a proper cartridge is appropriately positioned, oriented and secured for use. Many of the techniques relate to arrangements in which features at opposite ends of a housing and/or cartridge are eccentrically positioned as described.
AIR FILTER STRUCTURE IN GENERAL PURPOSE ENGINE
A cleaner casing is fitted to a fan casing for covering an air cooling fan for an engine. A cleaner chamber is formed between the fan casing and the cleaner casing. The cleaner chamber accommodates therein a cylindrical filter element. The filter element purifies air which will becomes an intake air for the engine. In an outer periphery of the cleaner chamber, a swirling passage is formed. An air outside the fan casing is captured into the switching passage through a suction opening. The swirling passage allows the air to be passed onto a hollow portion of the filter element after the air has been swirled around the filter element thereby.
