When the magnetic projectile contacts the target surface, magnetic attraction helps hold the magnetic projectile in place on the target surface of the target platform. In various implementations the shock absorbing material may help to prevent damage from the impact, assist in adhesion of the magnetic projectile to the target surface, and/or reduce noise from the impact.
