The brace helps to support the filter media pack during filtering operations by preventing outward flexing of the filter media pack caused by fluid flowing through the filter media. In some arrangements, the brace interfaces with a filtration system housing to provide additional support to the filter element.

The seal member is structured to form a seal between the filter element and the housing when the filter element is installed in the housing.
