Method for determining utilized capacity of an air filter
A method, an air treatment device and a system associated with determining a degree of utilized capacity of a filter for processing air present in an ambient volume. Determining a total accumulated pollutant amount in the filter. Comparing the determined total accumulated pollutant amount to a reference pollutant amount to determine the degree of utilized capacity. The reference pollutant amount is a pollutant amount present in the filter when the air treatment device produces a predetermined clean air flow. The accumulated pollutant amount in the filter is determined based on data obtained from a sensor arranged to measure a current pollutant concentration in the ambient volume and/or pollutant concentration data indicative of a current pollutant concentration in the ambient volume and an estimated volume of air processed by the air treatment device. The volume is estimated based on a current air flow through the filter.

Three-dimensional printer with two state filter for powdered metal
A three-dimensional printing system for manufacturing three-dimensional articles includes an apparatus, a filtration system, and a controller. The apparatus is a fabrication system that generates ignitable powder dust in an inert atmosphere fluid stream. The filtration system receives the fluid stream and has a plurality of filter units in a parallel arrangement including at least a first filter unit and a second filter unit. The controller is configured to control the filtration unit and to thereby individually operate the plurality of filter units in two states including a filtration state and an oxidation state. When one of the plurality of filter units is operating in the filtration state another of the plurality of filter units is operating in the oxidation state.
Airborne pathogen extraction system
An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
