Air Cleaning and Purifying Apparatus for Elevators
20220074616 · 2022-03-10 ·

An air cleaning/purifying system for elevators includes: a housing, one or more fans, three filters, and a lamp. The housing, made of a chromium-nickel-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel, is formed of one or more walls that create an air tight enclosure, except for one or more air inlet openings proximate to each fan, and a plurality of air outlet openings. The three filters are positioned between the inlet and outlet openings, and include: an active carbon filter to absorb odors; a HEPA filter formed of a fiber mesh that traps particles; and a filter formed of a selective metallic compound (e.g., titanium dioxide) that emits hydroxyl radicals when illuminated by light from the lamp. The fan(s) is/are mounted to the housing and positioned to draw/direct air into the air tight enclosure through the inlet opening(s) and direct it at the filters, in the direction of the outlet openings.

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE

An air cleaner assembly is disclosed. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing defining an inlet and an outlet, and including an access opening between the inlet and outlet. The air cleaner also includes a filter cartridge received within the housing and covering the access opening. The air cleaner also includes a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism is movable between an unlocked position in which the filter cartridge can be installed and removed from the housing and a locked position in which the filter cartridge is secured within the housing. The filter cartridge and lock mechanism include interacting features allowing the lock mechanism to be moved from the unlocked position to the locked position only when the filter cartridge is installed within the housing.

A filter insert for installation in a fluid filter has at least one main separator for separating liquid from aerosol. The main separator is supported at a main separator support tube. The filter insert further has at least one post separator for separating liquid from aerosol that is supported at a post separator support tube. The post separator is arranged downstream of the main separator in a flow direction of a fluid to be cleaned. The post separator is arranged concentric to the main separator and is radially spaced by an intermediate space from the main separator. The post separator support tube is configured to add axial elasticity to the support tube.

MULTILAYER FILTER WITH ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES AND USE THEREOF IN INDUSTRIAL FILTRATION APPLICATIONS AND PROTECTIVE MASKS

The present invention falls within the area of polymeric materials applied to the sector of manufacturing materials for use in filters for filtration equipment such as ventilators and for protective masks. In particular, the invention relates to multilayer filters for ventilators and protective masks which can be biodegradable and which comprise filtration materials based on ultrafine fibers obtained by electrohydrodynamic and aerohydrodynamic processing and which exercise passive FFP1, FFP2, N95 and FFP3 protection and which can also be washable and have active antimicrobial properties.

FLUID TREATMENT SYSTEM HAVING CONCENTRIC CHAMBERS
20210308604 · 2021-10-07 ·

A system and method for treating fluid by providing a series of concentric chambers, tanks or tubes so that a fluid flow and treatment efficiency is maximized while size, complexity and cost of manufacture and operation is reduced. In one aspect, a generally non-turbulent fluid flow is received and directed in a radial sequential direction through the series of chambers. Each chamber is configured to house a filter assembly or media that provides a level of treatment for the fluid flow while directing the fluid toward a subsequent concentric filtration chamber. The last sequential chamber directs the fluid flow toward a fluid outlet and reduces the turbulence of the flow generated during the filtration process. The system can be configured to direct the fluid flow in inward or outward radial directions according to various arrangements and during filtration or back flushing operations.

FILTER CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLIES FOR MANAGING FLUID AND HUMIDITY IN ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY

A filter cartridge for surgical gas delivery systems includes a filter housing configured to be seated in a filter cartridge interface of a surgical gas delivery system, with a plurality of flow paths defined through the filter housing including at least one evacuation/return flow path and at least one insufflation/sensing flow path. A humidity filter element is included in the evacuation/return flow path for removing humidity from an evacuation/return lumen of a tube set. The humidity filter element can include a sintered polymer material configured to provide tortuous flow paths therethrough to condense humidity out of a flow through the humidity filter element.

VEHICLE CABIN FILTER ASSEMBLY

A vehicle cabin filter assembly comprising a housing and a plurality of filter modules mounted to the housing. The filter modules comprise a first filter module, a second filter module positioned downstream of the first filter module, and a third filter module positioned downstream of the second filter module. Each filter module comprises a particulate filter element, and at least one of the filter modules comprises a gas filter element. The second filter module has a separation efficiency higher than the first filter module, and the third filter module has a separation efficiency higher than the second filter module.

Fan assembly

There is provided a fan assembly comprising a fan body comprising a first air inlet and a second air inlet, the first air inlet and the second air inlet being provided on opposing halves of the fan body. The fan assembly also comprises a first filter assembly mounted on the fan body over the first air inlet, and a second filter assembly mounted on the fan body over the second air inlet. The fan body further comprises a first retention assembly that is configured to releasably engage both the first filter frame and the second filter frame, and a second retention assembly that is also configured to releasably engage both the first filter frame and the second filter frame.

FILTER ELEMENTS, COALESCING BAFFLES, FILTRATION VESSEL AND METHODS

Improvements to filtration and vessels such as for filtration and coalescing of gas streams are shown. A filter element with a partial treated region and untreated region such as providing different surface energies or other filtration characteristics are provided. Various keying arrangements for compatibility and/or rotational locking are shown between the filtration vessel, a tubular coalescing baffle, and/or filter element. The tubular coalescing baffle also may include non-louvered pore structure, which provides for more even flow in a two stage type filtration vessel to prevent premature exiting and reduction of flow velocities along the second stage, and/or may additionally or alternatively include drainage apertures such as drain slot formed along a gravitational bottom or otherwise to facilitate additional drainage of coalesced liquid as opposed to letting such liquid be forced through fluid velocity toward the open end of the tubular baffle.
