11028746 · 2021-06-08 · ·

A work vehicle including a DPF system configured to collect particulate matter contained in exhaust gas from an engine; an SCR system configured to add, to the exhaust gas from the engine a reductant stored in a reductant storage tank to reduce nitrogen oxide contained in the exhaust gas; and a control unit capable of executing a DPF renewal control whereby particulate matter collected and deposited in the DPF system is burned and removed by using the exhaust gas from the engine and an SCR reference operation restricting control to restrict an operating condition of the engine. The SCR reference operation restricting control is executed when an amount of the reductant stored in the reductant storage tank is a preset amount or less, or when an abnormality occurs in the SCR system. The control unit preferentially executes the DPF renewal control over the SCR reference operation restricting control.

Honeycomb structure body

A honeycomb structure body has cell walls, inner cells and outer cells, and a boundary partition wall. The inner cells are arranged in a high cell density area and the outer cells are arranged in a low cell density area. A cell density of the high cell density area is higher than a cell density of the low cell density area. Cell reinforced parts are formed at a first intersection part at which the cell walls intersect each other. Boundary reinforced parts are formed at a second intersection part at which the cell walls and the boundary partition wall intersect each other. The honeycomb structure body satisfies a relationship of Sb>Sc, where Sb indicates an average value of a cross sectional area of the overall boundary reinforced parts, and Si indicates an average value of a cross sectional area of the overall inner cell reinforced parts.

Exhaust gas purification system

An exhaust gas purifier is disposed in an exhaust gas passage of an engine, and includes: a DPF for capturing PM contained in exhaust gas; an SCR catalyst provided downstream of the DPF in a direction of flow of the exhaust gas, and for reducing NO.sub.x contained in the exhaust gas for purification in the presence of NH.sub.3; an injection unit provided between the DPF and the SCR catalyst, and for supplying urea to the SCR catalyst so as to supply NH.sub.3 to the SCR catalyst; and an AMOX provided downstream of the SCR catalyst in the direction of flow of the exhaust gas, and for removing NH.sub.3 having passed through the SCR catalyst. The DPF does not contain Pt or Pd, and contains Rh. The AMOX contains Pt.

Diesel Particulate Filtration (DPF) System

A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) assembly configured to be incorporated in the exhaust gas stream, the DPF assembly comprising: Quartz/Composite ceramic mixture disposed as filter elements, mechanical support components and optional electrical soot removal solutions including electrical, di-electrical and microwave solutions.

Exhaust aftertreatment system and method for regenerating a particulate filter

An exhaust aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine has an exhaust system having at least one three-way catalyst near the engine, wherein a particulate filter is arranged downstream from the three-way catalyst, preferably in an underbody installation in a motor vehicle. A heated catalyst, which has at least one heating stage that can be heated by means of an electric heating element, is provided upstream from the at least one three-way catalyst and downstream from the particulate filter. The at least one electrically heatable heating stage is supplied with electric power directly from a generator that is operatively connected to the internal combustion engine, so that heating of the heated catalyst takes place essentially independently of the charge status of the vehicle battery.

Exhaust gas aftertreatment system and method for exhaust aftertreatment of an internal combustion engine

The invention relates to an exhaust gas aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine, in particular for a gasoline engine that is spark-ignited by means of spark plugs. A first three-way catalytic converter is situated in an exhaust gas system that is connected to an outlet of the internal combustion engine in a position close to the engine. Downstream from the first three-way catalytic converter, a four-way catalytic converter or a combination of a particle filter and a second three-way catalytic converter downstream from the particle filter is situated in the underbody position of the motor vehicle. An exhaust gas burner with which hot exhaust gas is introducible into the exhaust gas system downstream from the first three-way catalytic converter and upstream from the four-way catalytic converter or the particle filter is provided at an exhaust duct of the exhaust gas system. The exhaust gas burner is supplied with fresh air by a secondary air pump. The invention further relates to a method for exhaust aftertreatment of an internal combustion engine having such an exhaust gas aftertreatment system.
