Mitigating naturally occurring radioactive material in oxidative dehydrogenation

A system for mitigating naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) in an oxidative dehydrogenation process includes a feed stream, an oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) reactor, an effluent stream, a processing unit, and a NORM reduction unit. The feed stream includes oxygen, a hydrocarbon, and NORM. The ODH reactor is configured to receive the feed stream and react the hydrocarbon with the oxygen to form a dehydrogenated hydrocarbon and water. The effluent stream includes the dehydrogenated hydrocarbon, water, unreacted hydrocarbon, and NORM. The processing unit is configured to process the effluent stream to form a product stream and a recycle stream. The product stream includes the dehydrogenated hydrocarbon. The recycle stream includes unreacted hydrocarbon and NORM. The NORM reduction unit is configured to reduce an amount of the NORM in the recycle stream to produce a NORM-reduced recycle stream. The ODH reactor is configured to receive the NORM-reduced recycle stream.

A method for treating a hydrocarbon-rich gas mixture containing mercury and acid gases, said gas mixture being natural gas in particular, wherein the gas mixture is subject to an adsorptive mercury removal and a downstream acid-gas scrubbing. Before the gas mixture to be treated is fed to the adsorptive mercury removal, the gas mixture to be treated is heated at least to such an extent that the gas mixture does not fall below the water dew point in the adsorptive mercury removal and does not fall below the hydrocarbon dew point in the acid-gas scrubbing.

Modular gas processing system

A modular gas processing system built with various gas processing modules and cubes improve transportability and customization. Individual gas processing modules and cubes can be included or removed in multiple combinations for customization because each module has a common interconnection point for connecting to any other gas processing module and cube.

ACID GAS RECOVERY SYSTEM

An acidic gas recovery system includes a cooling tower into which a target gas of treatment containing an acidic gas is introduced to cool the target gas of treatment; an inlet adsorption device that is configured to bring the target gas of treatment cooled in the cooling tower into contact with activated carbon to remove hydrocarbons remaining in the target gas of treatment; an absorption tower that is configured to discharge the absorbent liquid which has absorbed the acidic gas and an absorption tower discharge gas containing the target gas of treatment from which the acidic gas is removed; and a regeneration tower that is configured to discharge the absorbent liquid from which the acidic gas is released and a regeneration tower discharge gas containing the acidic gas.

Biogas processing systems and methods

A system for processing biogas, the system comprising: a container, a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) unit housed in the container, the PSA unit having: a plurality of beds containing adsorbent material, the adsorbent material configured to selectively adsorb gas species from the biogas to process the biogas, a rotary valve module for distributing flow of 5 the biogas within the PSA unit, an inlet for supplying the biogas to the plurality of beds from outside of the container, and an outlet for transporting the processed biogas away from the PSA unit.
