The method includes coupling a household water stream to a dialysis system; filtering the water stream; heating the water stream to at least about 138 degrees Celsius in a non-batch process to produce a heated water stream; maintaining the heated water stream at or above at least about 138 degrees Celsius for at least about two seconds; cooling the heated water stream to produce a cooled water stream; ultrafiltering the cooled water stream; and mixing dialysate components into the cooled water stream in a non-batch process.

The filter cartridge has a height such that when it is disposed on the filter base, the filter cartridge extends beyond the predetermined height of the trailer ceiling. The system also has a fluid input/output assembly disposed in the trailer and fluidically connected to the at least one filter assembly, the liquid input/output assembly being for receiving fluid to be cleaned and inputting it to the at least one filter assembly and for receiving filtered fluid from the filter assembly and for outputting it. The system further has a rotatable, extendable filter cartridge mover disposed in the trailer, for connecting and disconnecting the filter cartridge to the filter base.

The improved water purification system includes a water purification unit having a tap water inflow port for receiving a tap water inflow from a water supply system to produce relatively purified water and a brine water outflow having impurities concentrated therein. An RO filter having an RO membrane separates relatively unfiltered water flow into purified water and the brine water outflow. A flush flow activation chamber fluidly coupled to the brine water outflow includes a plunger for substantially occluding brine water outflow through the brine outflow port when seated, and substantially permits brine water outflow to exit the purification unit through the brine outflow port when unseated. Accordingly, the activation chamber generates back pressure within the water purification system to flash flow tap water inflow into the purification unit and through the RO membrane when the plunger moves from being seated to unseated, thereby substantially refreshing said RO membrane.

The water nitration and delivery system including: a laminarizer, the laminizer producing a laminarizer flow; an ultrafiltration unit, the ultrafiltration unit being placed downstream and connected to the laminarizer, the ultrafiltration unit receiving the laminar flow from the laminarizer; and at least one carbon filter, the at least one carbon filter being placed downstream from the ultrafiltration unit, the at least one carbon filter receiving the laminar flow, wherein the laminar flow causes less stress on internal components of the ultrafiltration unit and the at least one carbon filter.

In order to improve the lifespan of the semi-permeable membrane or the yield of the reverse osmosis system in the treatment of drinking water by means of reverse osmosis, the invention provides a device for treating drinking water with at least one reverse osmosis vessel which is divided into at least two chambers by at least one semi-permeable membrane, wherein a first chamber has an inlet for the water to be treated and an outlet for the concentrate, and the second chamber has an outlet for the treated water, wherein the device comprises at least one pressure vessel which is connected to the outlet for the treated water via a line, wherein the device is designed in such a way that, in an idle state, treated water flows out of the pressure vessel, through the semi-permeable membrane and into the first chamber.

SANITIZING FILTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A RESIDENTIAL WATER FILTERING SYSTEM

A sanitizing filter for sanitizing a residential water filtering system has a water filter assembly including a cartridge operable for removable attachment to the water filter assembly. When the cartridge is attached to the water filter assembly, a water flow passes into the cartridge, mixes with sanitizing media within the cartridge, and passes back into the water filter assembly. The residential water filtering system is then filled and flushed repeatedly and the mixture of water and sanitizing media sanitizes the portions of the system that are downstream from the sanitizing filter.
