Provided is a hollow fiber membrane module comprising: a hollow fiber membrane bundle; a housing; a first adhesively-fixed portion and a second adhesively-fixed portion configured to adhesively fix, at both ends of each of the hollow fiber membranes, with a potting material: the hollow fiber membranes to each other, and the hollow fiber membrane bundle to an inner wall of the housing; and a regulating member 40 configured to regulate arrangement of the hollow fiber membranes, wherein: on an end face outer than the housing of at least one of the first adhesively-fixed portion or the second adhesively-fixed portion, when a range of a circle having a center at a center of the end face and a radius equal to of a radius of the end face is defined as a central portion, and a range other than the central portion is defined as a circumferential portion, a ratio of an area ratio of the regulating member 40 and the potting material to an entire area of the central portion to an area ratio of the regulating member 40 and the potting material to an entire area of the circumferential portion is 0.8 or more and 1.2 or less.

CARTRIDGES AND SYSTEMS FOR MEMBRANE-BASED THERAPIES

A cartridge is provided for dialysis or other blood processing therapy. In the cartridge, fibers may be substantially uniformly distributed near a midplane, but near an end, in the inter fiber space, there may be void flow channels, which may cause fluid flow in the inter fiber space to transition within a short region to uniform flow with minimal stagnation zones. Void flow channels may be be radially oriented, introducing fluid from the outer circumference, or axially oriented, introducing fluid along the axial direction through passageways through the potting material. The fluid flow in the inter fiber space may be perpendicular to the fibers, or radial with respect to a cartridge longitudinal axis. The cartridge may have blood flow in the inter fiber space, and flow of dialysate or ultrafiltrate in the lumens of the fibers, or the opposite situation.

A membrane contactor includes: a cap has an internally beveled surface and a cap port; a cup body has an externally beveled surface in sealing engagement with the internally beveled surface, a side port on a side of the cup body and an end port located on an end of the cup body; and a membrane cartridge is located within the cup body, is sealed to an open end of the cup body, and is in sealed fluid communication with the end port. A method of making a membrane contactor includes the steps of: sealingly mating a perforated center of a membrane contactor with the end port of a cup body; sealingly joining an end of the membrane cartridge adjacent an open end of the cup body; and sealingly joining a beveled surface of the cap to a beveled external surface of the cup body.

The present invention relates to an automatic operating device for hollow fiber membrane. The automatic operating device comprises a first membrane fiber traction apparatus, a membrane fiber bracket member for fixing the membrane fiber, and a second fiber traction apparatus, which are disposed in sequence. The membrane fiber bracket member comprises a first membrane fiber bracket and a second membrane fiber bracket each having upper openings. The first membrane fiber traction apparatus, the first membrane fiber bracket, the second membrane fiber bracket, and the second membrane fiber traction apparatus are all provided with membrane fiber holes matched with the membrane fiber. The automatic operating device further comprises a membrane fiber grabbing mechanism, a first driving mechanism, a cutting mechanism and a glue-filling mechanism. The present invention can realize the automatic penetration of membrane fiber into the membrane fiber brackets and the traction apparatus, and realize formation of the membrane fiber in a regular arrangement. The whole process has fewer manual intervention and less consumables, and produces modules with higher quality; and it can be applied to the manufacturing of various membrane separation modules.

The group of inventions relates to technologies for purifying liquid, primarily water for the domestic and/or drinking water supply in domestic and/or industrial conditions and in allotments and gardens. The characterizing feature of the group of inventions is that the design of a hollow fibre membrane device envisages, and a method for the manufacture thereof enables, the formation of a protective layer consisting of a single polymeric fixing material on the internal surfaces of mono-fibre sections which are incorporated into a binding unit, and the formation of sections which are in the form of a composite in the binding unit, which increases the strength of the hollow fibre membrane device, wherein open channels in the binding unit, formed with the aid of protective elements of an assembly base, make it possible to increase the specific filtering surface. The general problem addressed by the group of inventions, and the technical result which can be achieved with the use of the group of inventions, consists in creating a design of a hollow fibre membrane device and in developing a method for producing the design of the device, making it possible to increase the strength characteristics of the hollow fibre membrane device while simultaneously increasing the specific filtering surface.
