Agarose ultrafiltration membrane composites for size based separations
The embodiments described herein relate to agarose ultrafiltration membrane composites and methods for making and using the same.
POLYIMIDE COMPOSITION
A preparation method of separation membrane is provided. First, a polyimide composition including a dissolvable polyimide, a crosslinking agent and a solvent is provided. The dissolvable polyimide is represented by formula 1:
##STR00001##
wherein B is a tetravalent organic group derived from a tetracarboxylic dianhydride containing aromatic group, A is a divalent organic group derived from a diamine containing aromatic group, A is a divalent organic group derived from a diamine containing aromatic group and carboxylic acid group, and 0.1X0.9. The crosslinking agent is an aziridine crosslinking agent, an isocyanate crosslinking agent, an epoxy crosslinking agent, a diamine crosslinking agent, or a triamine crosslinking agent. A crosslinking process is performed on the polyimide composition. The polyimide composition which has been subjected to the crosslinking process is coated on a substrate to form a polyimide membrane. A wet phase inversion process is performed on the polyimide membrane.
Method for producing laminated complex, and laminated complex
A method for producing a laminated complex according to one embodiment of the present invention is a method for producing a laminated complex that includes a sheet-shaped or tube-shaped porous support and a semipermeable membrane layer stacked on an outer surface of the support, the method including a coating step of coating an outer surface of the support with a semipermeable membrane layer-forming composition in which a fluororesin is dispersed in a solvent; an immersing step of immersing the coated surface of the support in water after the coating step; and a heating step of heating water in which the support is immersed.
FILTER MEMBRANE AND DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a microporous hollow fiber filter membrane having a large inner diameter and a thin wall. The fiber can be used for sterile filtration of liquids or removal of particles from liquids. The disclosure further relates to a method for producing the membrane and a filter device comprising the membrane.
POROUS POLYMERIC HOLLOW FILTER MEMBRANE
Described are hollow fiber porous polymeric filter membranes and methods for preparing these membranes. The methods including extruding and shaping a polymer solution that includes polymer and solvent, and reducing the temperature of the extruded polymer by contacting the extruded polymer with liquid metal.
Method of preparing hybrid membrane
A method of preparing a hybrid membrane, the method including: evenly mixing a granular material and a dispersant, to yield a dispersion solution; evenly mixing a polymer and an organic solvent, to yield a matrix solution; adding the matrix solution to the dispersion solution to yield a mixed solution; heating the mixed solution to remove the dispersant, to yield a casting solution; and coating the casting solution on a substrate, followed by removal of the organic solvent, to yield a hybrid membrane.
Hollow-Fibre Membrane With Improved Biocompatibility And Reduced Elution Of Hydrophilic Polymers
The invention relates to the providing of hydrophobic and hydrophilic polymer-based hollow fiber membranes containing a water-insoluble antioxidant; in particular, the invention relates to the providing of hollow fiber membranes for the extracorporeal treatment of blood, wherein the hollow fiber membranes have improved biocompatibility relative to treatment blood, in particular improved complement activation and lower platelet loss vis--vis treatment blood. At the same time, the elution of hydrophilic polymers from the lumen of the hollow fiber membrane is reduced.
Membrane Manufacturing With A Cosolvent In The Polymer Dope Solution
The invention relates to a process for making a membrane M comprising the following steps: providing a dope solution D comprising a polymer P selected from polyphenylenesulfone or mixtures of polyphenylenesulfone with nonionic polyarylene ethers, a first solvent selected from aprotic polar solvents, and a cosolvent selected from C.sub.2-C.sub.8 alkanediol, C.sub.3-C.sub.8 alkanetriol, polyethylene glycol, or mixtures thereof; and preparing the membrane by bringing the dope solution D into contact with a coagulating agent. The invention further relates to a membrane M obtainable in said process.
A REINFORCED SEPARATOR FOR ALKALINE HYDROLYSIS
A reinforced separator for alkaline hydrolysis includes a porous support, a first porous polymer layer contiguous with one side of the support and a second porous polymer layer contiguous with the other side of the support, characterized in that the maximum pore diameter at the outer surface of the first porous polymer layer PD.sub.max(1) and of the second porous polymer layer PD.sub.max(2) are different from each other and wherein a ratio between PD.sub.max(2) and PD.sub.max(1) is between 1.25 and 10.
