High-flux composite nanofiltration (NF) membrane with electrical double layer (EDL), and preparation method and use thereof
A high-flux composite nanofiltration (NF) membrane with an electrical double layer (EDL) and a preparation method thereof are provided. The high-flux composite NF membrane includes: a charged support membrane and a charged separation layer, where a charge carried by the support membrane or the separation layer is a positive charge, a negative charge, or an amphiprotic charge. The high-flux composite NF membrane with an EDL solves the technical problem that the composite NF membrane in the prior art has an unsatisfactory retention rate and a limited application range due to a small charge quantity.
Cross-Linked Polyolefin Separator and Method for Producing Same
A crosslinked polyolefin separator having an average value of light transmittance of 30% or more in a region of 380 nm to 700 nm, after four sides of the separator are fixed and allowed to stand at 130? C. for 30 minutes. A method for manufacturing the crosslinked polyolefin separator is also provided. The crosslinked polyolefin separator has a low shutdown temperature to provide improved safety. The crosslinked polyolefin separator also has a high meltdown temperature and is inhibited from die-drooling.
Base films for impregnation, improved impregnated products, and related methods
A novel or improved base film for impregnation, impregnated base film, product incorporating the impregnated base film, and/or related methods as shown, claimed or described herein.
POLYAMIDE COATED FILTER MEMBRANE, FILTERS, AND METHODS
Described are filter membranes coated with a polyamide, filters and filter cartridges that include the filter membranes, and methods of using and making the filter membranes.
Filled microporous membranes
The present invention is directed to a method for treating a surface of a filled microporous membrane. The microporous membrane includes a polyolefinic matrix, inorganic filler distributed throughout the matrix, and a network of interconnecting pores throughout the membrane. The method includes sequentially (1) contacting the membrane with a first treatment composition comprising an epoxy-silane which is in intimate contact with the inorganic filler; (2) subjecting the membrane of (1) to conditions sufficient to effect a first reaction between the inorganic filler and the silane groups of the epoxy-silane compound; (3) contacting the membrane of (2) with a second treatment composition comprising polyalkylene polyamine, an amine functional polysaccharide and/or an amino silane; and (4) subjecting the membrane of (3) to conditions sufficient to effect a second reaction. Treated membranes also are provided.
PERFUSION FILTRATION SYSTEMS
Provided herein are tubular membrane filter elements, tangential flow filtration systems comprising such filter elements and methods of using such filter elements and filtration systems.
TRANSPARENT, GAS-PERMEABLE AND WATERPROOF FILM, PARTICULARLY FOR APPLICATIONS IN THE MEDICAL FIELD
A transparent, gas-permeable and waterproof film, particularly for applications in the medical field is disclosed. The film includes a polyolefin base, to which is added a monomeric plasticiser with a percentage by mass of between 10% and 50% and preferably also molecular sieves with a percentage by mass of less than or equal to 20%, this addition enables in particular the gas permeability of the film to be increased, said film thus having a high gas permeability, as well as low water permeability and high transparency, together with various mechanical characteristics and properties so that it is particularly well suited to many applications, in particular in the medical sector and in particular for application to an identification card used in the medical diagnosis.
Heat-Induced Grafting Of Nonwovens For High Capacity Ion Exchange Separation
The invention provides methods for preparing a polymer-grafted and functionalized nonwoven membrane adapted for use in separation processes. The invention further provides so-formed membranes as well as improved separation methods utilizing the membranes. The polymer-grafted and functionalized nonwoven membranes are particularly formed utilizing thermal grafting. In particular, an acrylate or methacrylate polymer can be grafted onto a nonwoven web comprising a plurality of polymeric fibers to form a plurality of polymer segments covalently attached to the polymeric fibers. Thermal grafting particularly can comprise using a thermal initiator and exposing the nonwoven web to heat to initiate polymerization of the acrylate or methacrylate monomer. The grafted polymeric fibers can be functionalized to attach at least one functional group adapted for binding to a target molecule to the polymer segments of the grafted polymeric fibers.
PREPARATION METHOD FOR COMPOSITE POROUS STRUCTURE AND COMPOSITE POROUS STRUCTURE MADE THEREBY
The present invention provides a preparation method for a composite porous structure, comprising the following steps: step (a): preparing a porous substrate having multiple pores, a first surface and a second surface; and step (b): continuously feeding a cooling fluid to contact the first surface and to flow continuously to the second surface through the pores of the porous substrate, and heating a coating material to multiple molten particles by a heat source and spraying the molten particles onto the second surface of the porous substrate, so as to form a coating layer having multiple micropores on the second surface of the porous substrate and obtain the composite porous structure formed. Besides, also provided is a composite porous structure prepared by the preparation method.
