A backflushing filter having an inlet, an outlet, and a drain; a filter that divides a housing into an inlet chamber that is connected to the inlet and an outlet chamber that is connected to the outlet; a backflushing device having a suction element arranged so that it is able to rotate around the filter on the inlet side of the housing with at least one suction opening that is oriented in the suction direction toward the filter for filter-cleaning purposes; a backflushing duct connected to a suction opening and the drain; and a rotating device which drives the rotational movement of the suction element around the filter when a pressure drop occurs in the backflushing duct; wherein when the pressure drop in the backflushing duct occurs, the rotating device drives the rotational movement of the suction element by the suction direction of the suction opening that is inclined relative to the radial direction of the suction element.

A device for filtering a stream of water in a channel (2), includes: a wall (6) adapted to be mounted in the channel and including a through-opening, a filter member (10) mounted on the wall opposite the through-opening and including a filter surface projecting relative to the wall, the filter surface having a larger area than would have a flat filter surface fitted in the through-opening, the filter member including retaining members face to face with the filter surface for retaining the bodies that do not pass through the surface, a suction device disposed facing the retaining members, and elements for driving the filter member and/or the suction device in a relative movement of one in relation to the other such that the suction device is successively brought face to face with each retaining member.

A flue gas cleaning solution purification system includes: a scrubber for removing contaminants from flue gas by using a cleaning solution; a cleaning solution purification unit for purifying the contaminated cleaning solution discharged from the scrubber; a cleaning solution resupply unit for resupplying the cleaning solution having been purified by the cleaning solution purification unit to the scrubber; and a sludge treatment unit for treating and storing sludge discharged from the cleaning solution purification unit, wherein the cleaning solution purification unit includes: a circulation buffer tank for temporarily storing the discharged contaminated cleaning solution; a coagulant supply apparatus for supplying a coagulant which coagulates contaminants of the contaminated cleaning solution discharged from the scrubber; a settling apparatus for primarily purifying the contaminated cleaning solution discharged from the scrubber by enabling settling of the contaminants; and a filtering apparatus for secondarily purifying the cleaning solution by filtering the contaminated cleaning solution to remove the contaminants.

The invention relates to a filter device, in particular for lubricating oil filtration, comprising at least two filter inserts (27), in each of which a filter material (43) is accommodated, which are provided with fluid passage points (37, 39) and can be stacked on top of one another with the formation of a stack, and further comprising a back-flushing device (55,57) which is movably arranged along the inner side of the filter inserts (27). The invention is characterized in that the individual filter inserts (27) are designed as identical parts at least with respect to their housings.

A suction nozzle assembly, comprising a tube coupled to a pressure sink at a distal side thereof, a nozzle, a resilient element which couples said nozzle to a proximal side of said tube and a deformable housing which bridges a gap between said proximal side of said tube and said nozzle. Optionally, a pressure equalizer, for example, a through aperture, is formed in said nozzle.

A filtration apparatus for installation in a catch basin vault is described. A perforate support plate includes a retractable basket that lies below an opening in the support plate and is positioned below a manhole. Water flowing into the system flows onto the support plate and into the basket, which traps debris. The basket is slidable from an in-use position where the basket is positioned to screen debris flowing into the vault, and a cleanout-position in which the interior of the vault is accessible so that the vault may be cleaned. When the vault needs to be cleaned, the manhole cover is removed to allow workers to have access to the interior of the vault. The workers may clean out the basket, and then slide it out of the way so that they have access to the vault interior.

A filter for filtering a flow of liquid a filter assembly with a number of filter disks coaxially arrayed along a central flow path within a pressure vessel. Each filter disk has a number of segments. The segments are preferably implemented as spacers with outward-facing filler screen support configurations supporting first and second filter screens. The filter screen support configurations have a cellular form that is open over a majority of a surface area, An arrangement of support ribs are deployed to maintain a spacing between the first and second filter screen support configurations. At least 80 percent of an internal volume of each of the segments is preferably open to allow liquid flow from the screens to the central flow path. Also disclosed are modular structure's of the filter disks, and a backwash arrangement which performs a spiral scanning motion across the surface of each filter disk.

Backwash shoes and methods of using backwash shoes are provided to increase the filtration area of a cloth filter media, the backwash shoe having a trailing surface formed from a series of merlons and crenels whereby some of the pile threads of the cloth filter media are compressed toward the support surface of the cloth filter media by the trailing surface and some of the pile threads remain in an extended or straightened position.
