LOGIC FOR CONTROL OF WATER FLOW THROUGH A SCREEN ASSEMBLY
A logic that is used in water bar screen assemblies to control the flow of water through the assembly and to methods.
Filter device for capturing target cell and target cell collecting method using the same
The present invention relates to a filter device for capturing a target cell and a target cell collecting method using the same. A filter substrate by which a target cell is captured is formed of an elastic material. When blood passes, the size of a lattice hole of the filter substrate by which the target cell is captured is reduced. When the blood completely passes, the size of the lattice hole of the filter substrate by which the target cell is captured is restored, so that a destruction rate of the target cell may be reduced and a collect rate of the target cell may be increased.
FILTER MEDIA, FILTER CARTRIDGE CONTAINING FILTER MEDIA, AND METHOD OF FILTERING WATER
A filter medium for removing contaminants from water includes a matrix including a plurality of fibers having an electrostatic charge such that the matrix is configured to remove contaminants from water by electrostatic attraction. The filter medium further includes a filler material including a ceramic substrate containing a mineral. The filler material is embedded in the matrix. When water flows through the filter medium, the mineral at least partially dissolves in the water such that a cavity is formed in the matrix in a location of the at least partially dissolved mineral.
System and method for a filter system
A filter for use in filtering a fluid slurry that includes particles of varying size, such as pool water including debris, is provided. The filter is in electrical communication with a sensor and includes a housing having an inlet to receive the fluid slurry, an outlet, and an internal chamber. An actuator can be coupled to the filter media to move at least a portion of the filter media to vary a dimension of the pores. The filter also includes a controller connected to the actuator that is capable of receiving a signal from the sensor and controls the actuator to change the dimension of the pores based on the signal.
CORRUGATED FLUID INTAKE SCREEN
Corrugated screen filters and related method of fabrication whereby an available filter surface is increased so as to allow an increase a flow capacity of the corrugated screen filter. The corrugated screen filter can comprise a plurality of rods forming a series of alternate and angular ridges and grooves on a surface of the filter screen. The filter screen can be configured to have longitudinal corrugations only on an exterior surface of the filter screen or alternatively, the filter screen can be configured to have longitudinal corrugations only on an interior surface of the filter screen. The alternate angular ridges and grooves can form corrugations in a variety of configurations including, but not limited to, a sinusoidal wave structure, a triangular wave structure, a rectangular wave structure, a trapezoidal wave structure, or the like.
Fiber filtering apparatus
A fiber filtering apparatus includes: an enclosure including an upper box and a lower box communicating with the upper box; a strainer installed in the upper box along a longitudinal direction; a plurality of fiber yarn media configured to be fixed to upper and lower fixing means each coupled to upper and lower parts of the strainer; a plurality of fiber ball media configured to be embedded in the lower box to form a second filtering layer; a first pipe configured to be formed on one side wall on the lower part of the upper box and introduced with raw water during filtration and drain backwashing water during backwashing; and a second pipe formed on one side wall on a lower part of the lower box and drain filtered water during the filtration and introduced with washing water during the backwashing.
System and method for a filter system
A variable pore size filter media including an upper plate, a retainer, and a support profile disposed between the upper plate and the retainer. The variable pore size filter media also includes a plurality of wire rings disposed on the support profile and longitudinally distributed within a region between the upper plate and the retainer, the plurality of wire rings being distributed in a non-contiguous manner to form a plurality of spaces therebetween. The variable pore size filter media further includes a plurality of pores defined by the plurality of spaces between the plurality of wire rings and a pore size adjustment mechanism configured to vary a respective distance between each of the plurality of wire rings to increase or decrease a respective size of each of the plurality of pores by increasing or decreasing a size of each of the plurality of spaces.

PIPELINE STRAINER
A pipeline strainer is provided having a cavity, a screen assembly disposed in the cavity, the screen assembly having an open first end and an open second end and a screen axis extending from the open first end to the open second end, a fluid inlet arranged at the open first end of the screen assembly, such that the fluid inlet is open to an interior of the screen assembly, a fluid outlet adjacent the open first end of the screen assembly. The fluid outlet is open to a straining surface of the screen assembly. A fluid axis extends from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet where the fluid axis crosses the screen axis at or near the fluid inlet.
