System and Method for a Filter System

Embodiments of the invention provide a filter for use in filtering a fluid slurry that includes particles of varying size, such as pool water including debris. The filter is in electrical communication with a sensor and includes a housing having an inlet to receive the fluid slurry, an outlet, and an internal chamber. An actuator can be coupled to the filter media to move at least a portion of the filter media to vary a dimension of the pores. The filter also includes a controller connected to the actuator that is capable of receiving a signal from the sensor and controls the actuator to change the dimension of the pores based on the signal.

FILTER DEVICE FOR CAPTURING TARGET CELL AND TARGET CELL COLLECTING METHOD USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a filter device for capturing a target cell and a target cell collecting method using the same. A filter substrate by which a target cell is captured is formed of an elastic material. When blood passes, the size of a lattice hole of the filter substrate by which the target cell is captured is reduced. When the blood completely passes, the size of the lattice hole of the filter substrate by which the target cell is captured is restored, so that a destruction rate of the target cell may be reduced and a collect rate of the target cell may be increased.

INTEGRATED, AUTOMATED POSSUM BELLY

An integrated possum belly having a raised filter portion and collection troughs is disclosed. A fluid flow such as a drilling fluid can contain unwanted material such as gumbo which can clog pipes and other equipment. The fluid flow is deposited onto the raised filter portion that has sloped sides with openings in the sloped sides. The fluid passes through the openings and is collected, while the gumbo and other debris remains on the filter and is collected and discarded. Sensors and a controller can be used to automate aspects of the operation of the possum belly including the opening of the filter.

The container may include beads disposed proximal to the pores, where the beads expand to impede flow through the pores.

The device comprising array of passageways fabricated on a die wherein the passageway size is controlled by actuators. The passageway size is monitored and the actuators controlling the passageway size are activated conditionally upon the passageway size monitoring. Using movable actuators the passageway can achieve passageway size that is less then the fabrication minimal resolution. Proper locating, setting and/or activation of the actuators create passageways that can perform filtration of particles, trapping of particles and catalyzing particles reaction.
