FILTRATION DEVICE AND FILTRATION METHOD
A filtration device that includes a cylindrical body and a filtration part. The cylindrical body has a first open end and a second closed end with an end wall. The filtration part is on a circumferential portion of the cylindrical body and has through-holes.
Oval filter with exterior elliptical radial seal and internal support structure
Various embodiments relate to a filter element. The filter element includes a first endplate that defines a first endplate opening and a second endplate. Filter media is positioned between and extending axially between the first endplate and the second endplate. The filter media defines a central opening extending axially therein. A support structure is disposed within the central opening of the filter media and is attached to the first endplate and the second endplate. The support structure includes an axial lobed extension that extends from a first end of the support structure to a second end of the support structure. The support structure is configured to resist collapse of the filter element.
RETROFITTING AND USE OF RECTANGULAR FILTERS, ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR FILTRATION
An adaptor device for retrofitting in a pool filter housing is disclosed, where the pool filter housing has a conventional cylindrical concentric filter. The adaptor device allows the pool filter to be retrofitted with a plurality of filter elements, thereby improving its filtering efficiency.
FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH COMMAND DEVICE
A filter cartridge of a filter group of a fluid of a vehicle extending along a main axis has a base assembly and engagement members, including first engagement members in the filter cartridge and second engagement members in the base assembly, shaped to block each other. The filter cartridge extends along a cartridge axis and includes an engagement plane on which the first engagement members are made having tooth elements diametrically opposite the cartridge axis. Each tooth element extends from the engagement plane parallel to the cartridge axis, having a stalk and a head. In the blocking configuration, the second engagement members engage the head. Each tooth element is radially elastically yielding, so the blocking configuration is achievable following radial movement of the tooth element. The first engagement members include for each tooth element a command device extending radially. Radial movement of the tooth element actuates the command device.
FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH ENGAGEMENT MEMBERS
A filter cartridge of a filter group of a fluid of a vehicle extends along a main axis including a base assembly and engagement members including first engagement members in the filter cartridge and second engagement members in the base assembly, respectively specially shaped to engage each other in a blocking configuration. The filter cartridge extends along a cartridge axis and includes at an axial end an engagement plane on which the first engagement members are made including at least two tooth elements diametrically opposite the cartridge axis. Each tooth element extends in height from the engagement plane extending on an imaginary surface parallel to the cartridge axis, having a substantially T shape. Each tooth element is elastically yielding in a radial direction, so that the blocking configuration is achievable following the radial movement of the tooth element.
Electronic filter detection feature for liquid filtration systems
An electronic system providing unique identification of a genuine filter system assembly to the engine control unit (ECU). A resistor is made to be an integrated part of the filtration system hardware such that when connected through a wired connection, the ECU detects a particular voltage signal and identifies the system as a genuine filter. The resistor could be integrated in any part of the filter system such that it could be used to recognize the filter or the cartridge. The resistor connection could be made via male/female pins, conducting wires, plates, conductive plastic material or other mechanisms.
Filter element
A filter element for a fluid, including: an elongated grid-type supporting element; a filter medium supported on the supporting element; wherein the support element and filter medium is configured such that the fluid flows through the filter medium in a direction radially to a longitudinal axis of the filter element; wherein the supporting element is a grid plate and/or the filter medium is embedded in the material of the supporting element at least in some sections.
Wave seal for filter element
A filter element includes a filter media having opposite first and second faces, and an outer face extending in a longitudinal direction perpendicular from the first face to the second face. An undulating sealing element is directly bonded to the outer face at a location closer to and offset from the first face. The undulations of the sealing element define an offset region of the outer face of the filter media from the first face, the offset region being defined by an amplitude of the undulations. The filter element may be incorporated into a filter assembly including the filter element enclosed by a filter housing. The sealing element may be made of urethane and be compressible within a mating groove in the filter housing.
WATER FILTER SYSTEM
A water filter system includes a removable filter unit having a body portion including a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end is adapted to be inserted into a filter head assembly. A laterally extending key member is disposed on the body portion and adapted to engage a key slot in the filter head assembly. An engagement protrusion extends from the proximal end. The engagement protrusion includes a first portion that has a first radius of curvature and a second portion opposing the first portion that includes a second radius of curvature that is larger than the first radius of curvature.
Filter assembly and filter element
A filter assembly includes a header, a bowl and a replaceable filter element. The bowl is indexed to have a single installed orientation with respect to the header. The filter element is keyed and indexed to both the bowl and the header, with index structures on the filter element engaging complementary coding structures on both the bowl and the header to define a single installed orientation of the filter element with respect to the filter assembly. The filter element lower end cap includes a notch and the filer media defines a longitudinal channel corresponding in position and configuration to the notch in the lower end cap. The lower end cap and channel in the filter media engage a protrusion inside the bowl. The bowl maintains angular orientation (prevents twisting) of the upper and lower end caps when the filter media is exposed to high differential pressures.
