The one of the inner and outer surrounding surfaces is adapted to be separated from the O-ring when the surrounding wall is separated from the cap, and is adapted to contact the O-ring when the surrounding wall is assembled with the cap and when the O-ring is squeezed by the cap to deform.
Separator device
An in-line fitment for connection of a filter to a pipe includes first and second fluid-carrying portions and a non-fluid-carrying spacer. Each fluid-carrying portion includes a socket for receiving an open end of a pipe and a connector for connection of the filter. A screw compression fitting is provided on each of the sockets of the first and second fluid-carrying portions for forming a sealed connection with the open ends of the pipe. The socket of the first fluid-carrying portion has a pipe receiving depth greater than that of the socket of the second fluid-carrying portion for enabling movement of the fitment parallel to the pipe when engaged with one of the open ends of the pipe. The sockets of the first and second fluid-carrying portions are positioned on a common axis and facing away from each other when the fluid-carrying portions are linked by the spacer.
FILTER ASSEMBLY CAPABLE OF ADJUSTING ELIMINATION OF SOLID MATERIALS USING FLOW-VARIABLE BYPASS FLOW PATH
Disclosed is a filter assembly capable of adjusting elimination of solid materials using a flow-variable bypass flow path. The filter assembly includes a filter portion (100) which includes a cover portion (110) formed on top to have a shape in which a bypass flow pipe (112) and a water discharge pipe (113) sequentially surrounds a perimeter of a vertically protruding original water inflow pipe (111) in a stepped structure and accommodates a filter body therein and a filter cartridge header (200) in which the cover portion (110) of the filter portion (100) is accommodated therebelow and which includes a bypass flow rate control unit (300) capable of adjusting an inflow amount of original water flowing into the bypass flow pipe (112).
FILTER VALVE ASSEMBLY
A filter assembly includes a manifold having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a filter housing having a filter medium provided therein, the filter medium defining an inner filter chamber and defining an outer filter chamber between the filter medium and the filter housing, the filter housing being removably attached to the manifold. The filter assembly includes a valve assembly mounted inside the manifold, and a by-pass channel defined inside the manifold between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The valve assembly includes a valve body, a by-pass valve system, and a shut off valve system. The by-pass valve system includes a by-pass valve piston having a piston body, and a by-pass valve spring arranged to move the by-pass valve piston. The shut off valve system includes a shut off valve piston, and a shut off valve spring arranged to move the shut off valve piston.
FILTER AND FILTER BASE RETENTION SYSTEM
A filter such as a liquid filter for use with a filter head that includes a filter base collar is provided. The collar retains the filter to the filter base and includes a plurality of protrusions and receiving gaps between adjacent protrusions. The filter has a mounting interface including an inlet port, an outlet port and a plurality of radial projections, with the mounting interface configured for fluid communication filter head and with the radial projections being arranged in an annular array configured to pass through the receiving gaps and also configured to axially engage the protrusions of the collar.

A filter base for receiving a mating filter housing assembly having a base platform having fluid ingress and egress stanchions, and a wire harness assembly including a connector housing integral with or connected to the base platform for establishing an electrical connection between the filter base and the mating filter housing assembly. The wire harness assembly having conductors extending between first and second connectors, with one or more resilient contacts provided on the second connector. The contacts are flexible from a first position to a second position when curved contact sections of the one or more contacts engage a mating connection surface of the complementary mating filter housing assembly. The mating connection surface may be a circuit pad of a printed circuit board, wherein the contact curved contact sections are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with the circuit pads when the filter housing assembly is received within the filter base.
WATER PURIFYING APPARATUS AND REFRIGERATOR HAVING THE SAME
A water purifying apparatus includes a head that is configured to couple to a filter and defines a water inlet and a water outlet, and a shaft provided inside the head, rotatably mounted between the water inlet and the water outlet, and having a filtering passage configured to connect the water inlet to the water outlet so that water introduced into the water inlet is discharged to the water outlet via the filter. The shaft includes a shaft inlet and a shaft outlet, which are opened to respectively communicate with the water inlet and the water outlet so as to define the filtering passage, and a water inlet blocking portion and a water outlet blocking portion, which are provided between the shaft inlet and the shaft outlet to shield opened surfaces of the water inlet and the water outlet.
Filter cartridge with engagement members
A filter cartridge of a filter group of a fluid of a vehicle extends along a main axis including a base assembly and engagement members including first engagement members in the filter cartridge and second engagement members in the base assembly, respectively specially shaped to engage each other in a blocking configuration. The filter cartridge extends along a cartridge axis and includes at an axial end an engagement plane on which the first engagement members are made including at least two tooth elements diametrically opposite the cartridge axis. Each tooth element extends in height from the engagement plane extending on an imaginary surface parallel to the cartridge axis, having a substantially T shape. Each tooth element is elastically yielding in a radial direction, so that the blocking configuration is achievable following the radial movement of the tooth element.
Apparatus for filtering and/or conditioning and/or purifying a fluid such as water
An apparatus for filtering water has a valve head and a filtration/purification canister removably mountable thereon. Connecting the canister to the valve head automatically opens a check valve in the valve head to permit water to flow from the valve head into and through the canister, and then back to and through the valve head to an outlet port. Disconnecting the canister from the valve head automatically closes the check valve, stopping the flow of water. A bypass valve is provided in the valve head to permit a sanitizing solution to flow through the valve head and along the lines of the water distribution system to sanitize the system, while bypassing the canister. The outlet port may be directly connected to an appliance that uses water, to eliminate possible contamination that may occur when water is brought indirectly from the outlet port to the appliance instead.
