The seal arrangement is configured in such a way that the seal, when subjected to a pressure from the inner face and/or from the outer face, is wedged in the direction of the acting force, between part faces of the sealing faces that narrow toward the middle.

The cover and/or housing can be plastic. The cover can include a bottom plate having inlet ports and an outlet port. The filter element can include an end cap defining a perimeter about an inner dimension, such as an inner diameter. The cap can define a groove to receive a rib of a support tube over which the element is installed. Alignment of the rib and groove can index and register the element with the support tube. The interlocking counter element is a circumferential interlocking collar with insertion ramps for insertion of the interlocking elements.

The mating connection surface may be a circuit pad of a printed circuit board, wherein the contact curved contact sections are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with the circuit pads when the filter housing assembly is received within the filter base.
