A filter cartridge can be used in a filter assembly for a system in an in tank filter for a hydraulic return filter. The filter assembly includes a safety construction to ensure that a cover is not place over the bowl of the filter assembly, without a filter cartridge mounted therein. The safety construction includes a lock arrangement on the cover member arrangement, cooperating with a flange on the tank. Methods of servicing use steps to lock and unlock the lock arrangement.

Water filtration system and method

A water filtration system that includes a filter manifold having a rotatable cover is provided. A filter cartridge is provided that includes a sump having a filter head integrally secured to a first end and cap releasably secured to a second end. A locking mechanism extending from the cover locks into the filter manifold to position the cartridge in an “in-use” state. The filter cartridge further includes two offset cylindrical inlet and outlet members protruding from the filter head that are designed to engage corresponding inlet and outlets of the filter manifold through a horizontal engagement mechanism. A check valve is positioned within the filter manifold adjacent the inlet of the filter cartridge to control fluid flow through the water filtration system. The filter cartridge head includes fins upwardly extending therefrom that are configured to engage corresponding slots formed in a plurality of corrugated channels of the filter manifold.

FLUID FILTER WITH OPTICAL KEY AND MANIFOLD WITH OPTICAL LOCK

Keyed fluid-handling devices comprise a fluid-handling device such as a filter, a bypass, or an adapter and an optical key. The optical keys are amenable to all types of filter component and can be readily retrofitted to existing designs. The optical keys may be formed from a variety of materials and combination of phases. That is, optical keys may comprise one or more solid materials, or perhaps may result from a combination of: solid materials, such as in transparent or semi-transparent polymers or glass; liquid fluids, such as water; and gaseous gaps such as an air gap. Optical keys may be light conduits or light guides. Filter manifolds comprise optical locks to ensure compatibility of the filter components.

Filter cartridge for translational insertion and rotational engagement of a manifold

Described are filter cartridges comprising: a cartridge body and a filter media; a stem extending from the cartridge body, the stem having an inlet opening, an outlet opening, and a stem face that comprises a first valve driving surface and a second valve driving surface; and at least one lug attached to either the filter body or the stem having a leading engagement edge. The filter cartridges are suitable for translational insertion and rotational engagement of a manifold, wherein upon translation insertion, a valve engagement member of the filter cartridge engages a portion of a valve body of a manifold valve; during a first stage rotation, one or more retaining members of the filter cartridge engage a manifold cam of a manifold; and during a second stage rotation, the valve engagement member imparts rotational movement to the valve body. Systems and methods incorporating the filter cartridges are disclosed.

Aerosol separator assembly; components; and, methods

A filter cartridge for use in separating a hydrophobic liquid aerosol phase from a gas stream, as a crankcase ventilation filter for example, is described. The cartridge includes a media pack comprising filtration media surrounding an open interior and a first end piece. Various structure included on the first end piece is described. An example is a D-shaped projection. Also described is an assembly including the filter cartridge, specific features of a housing component of the assembly. Methods of assembly and use are also described.

Water filter cartridge with slanted nozzles

A water filter cartridge has an end cap with separate inlet and outlet nozzles connected to the end of a cylindrical tube that extends from the end cap. The nozzles are slanted and laterally offset from the cylindrical tube. A cam surface on the outer side of the nozzles actuates valves in a mating manifold. The passage in the nozzles is conical, expanding toward the nozzle end and opening onto a portion of the nozzle side to form a sharper tip. Expanding ice pushes itself out of the conical passage and facilitates ice removal. The narrow end of the conical passage facilitates breakage and removal of ice from the nozzle.

Push filter with floating key lock

A filter housing assembly for fluid filtration which may be attached to, and removed from, a filter base by a push-actuated release. The filter housing assembly has a top portion with an ingress port and egress port extending therefrom, and a protrusion extending from the filter housing longitudinally axial center. The ingress and egress port are formed in an hourglass shape. A filter key having a base with a groove for mating with said projection, at least one finger extending from said base, and an electronic circuit component housing attached thereto for receiving a printed circuit board, is connected to the filter housing top portion by mating said top portion protrusion with the filter key groove. Both of said ingress and egress port have at least one cavity for the passage of fluid therethrough, where each cavity is exposed in a direction facing away from the printed circuit board.

Filter appliance

A filter appliance may include a filter housing and a ring filter element having an axis and being mountable in the filter housing. The filter element may include a first axial end disc having a protruding pin configured to engage into a channel of the filter housing. The filter housing may have an interior including a first region and the ring filter element may include a second region associated with the first region. A guide contour may be arranged on one of the first region and the second region, and a first guide element and a second guide element may be disposed on the other of the first region and the second region. The guide contour may include a first axial groove and a second axial groove configured to receive the first guide element and the second guide element to define a key and lock interaction.

FILTER DEVICE

An outflow portion that causes a space inside a filter element to communicate with a space outside a filter case includes an upper surface and a bottom surface that are provided so as to be separated from each other. The back pressure valve includes the valve body having the substantially plate-like shape and the elastic member provided between the bottom surface and the valve body. The valve body is movable between a closed position in which the valve body is in contact with the upper surface, and an open position in which the valve body is not in contact with the upper surface. A recessed portion is provided in a surface, of the valve body, that comes into contact with the upper surface, and an outflow port is formed in a side surface or the upper surface of the outflow portion.
