A filter base for receiving a complementary mating filter housing assembly. The filter base includes a base platform having fluid ingress and egress stanchions, and a wire harness assembly including a connector housing integral with or connected to the base platform for establishing an electrical connection between the filter base and the filter housing assembly. The wire harness assembly includes conductors extending between first and second connectors, with one or more resilient contacts provided on the second connector. The connector housing has an upper surface and an oppositely facing lower surface and is dimensioned to receive a first end portion of the one or more contacts. The contacts are flexible from a first position to a second position when a mating portion of the one or more contacts engages a mating connection surface of the filter housing assembly. The mating connection surface may be a circuit pad of a printed circuit board, wherein the contact mating portions are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with the circuit pads when the filter housing assembly is received within the filter base.
FILTER AND METHOD OF FABRICATING SAME
A filter element having a central axis includes a first endplate having a first central aperture, a second endplate having a second central aperture, a filter material positioned between the first endplate and the second endplate and having an axial passageway extending therebetween and along the central axis, the axial passageway axially aligned with the first central aperture and the second central aperture. The filter element includes a plurality of fingers attached to the first endplate and positioned circumferentially about the central axis and extending parallel therewith, each finger having a lip that extends from a surface of its respective finger for axial engagement with a respective nodule, of a plurality of nodules, of a filter head.
FILTER INTERCONNECT USING A MAGNETIC SHEAR FORCE
An interconnection scheme between a filter cartridge and its corresponding manifold whereby a magnetic shear force is introduced to remove a blocking mechanism that would otherwise prohibit attachment. The magnetic shear force may also be employed to activate or deactivate a switch or valve, or engage or disengage an engagement mechanism relative to other components upon interconnection. The magnetic shear force is generated by complementary correlated magnet structures moved into close proximity to one another. The interconnection scheme may be a linear or rotational attachment of the filter cartridge with respect to the manifold. A valve assembly utilizing magnetic shear force may be employed to activate a bypass action between a manifold ingress port and egress port, thereby allowing water to flow when a filter cartridge is removed from the manifold and directing water to the filter cartridge when the valve assembly is activated.
Filter device
A filter device with a removable termination part (81; 82) and a housing (3) that receives a replaceable filter element (5) having two end caps (25,47). Between the end caps, a filter material (12) extends. A positioning device (65) is arranged between the termination part (81; 82) and one end cap (47). The positioning device positions the filter element (5) within the housing (3), at least when viewed in the circumferential direction of the filter element, in interaction with at least one corresponding positioning element (71) of the end cap (47).
Filter assembly
A filter assembly includes a filter element, and a mount having at least one port, each of the filter element and mount having inter-engaging connection formations where the filter element and mount can be detachably connected to one another, with the mount defining a flow path for fluid to flow between the port and the filter element. The mount includes a valve with a valve member which can move between an open position and a closed position. One of the filter element and the mount has at least one lug and the other of the filter element and mount has a ramp surface, the lug engaging the ramp surface when the filter element and mount are brought together along an axis and a cam action between the lug and the ramp surface causes axial movement of the valve member when the filter element is then rotated relative to the mount.
FILTER UNIT AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
Provided are a filter unit which may easily replace a filter, and a refrigerator including the same. To this end, a filter unit according to the present disclosure includes a filter which purifies water, a filter head which is disposed on one end portion of the filter, and includes an inlet port which supplies raw water to the filter and is formed to protrude from one side thereof, and an outlet port which discharges pure water purified by the filter and is formed to protrude from the other side thereof, a filter housing which is formed with a filter accommodation space in which the filter is accommodated, a filter bracket which is coupled to the filter housing, and includes an inlet port coupling part to which the inlet port is coupled rotatably, and an outlet portion coupling part to which the outlet port is coupled rotatably, and a filter door which is coupled to the filter housing to open and close the filter accommodation space.
FILTER INTERCONNECT USING A CORRELATED MAGNET TORQUE DESIGN
A filtration system interconnection structure having manifold with a rotatable manifold magnet of correlated magnets, a shroud with alignment tracks, an actuating valve for water ingress, and a filter cartridge having a rotatable filter magnet of correlated magnets, where the manifold magnet and the filter magnet are in magnetic communication with one another when the filter cartridge is inserted with the shroud, and are at least partially rotatably compatible, where the manifold magnet rotates with the filter magnet until the manifold magnet experiences a rotational stop beyond a predetermined rotation of the filter magnet, thus allowing the filter magnet to shift polarity with respect to the manifold magnet and present a repulsion force for removal of the filter cartridge from the shroud.
FUEL PRE-FILTER MODULE, FILTER ELEMENT AND FILTER HEAD WITH A PRIMING PUMP
Disclosed is a fuel pre-filter module for pre-filtering fuel for internal combustion engines, including but not limited to internal combustion engines for light trucks, buses, construction, and agricultural machines. Also disclosed is a filter element for use in the fuel pre-filter module.
Water Cooler Filter With Secure Bayonet-Type Connection
A filter for a water cooler includes a housing having a surface and a cavity with cavity ports. The filter end is adapted to be received in the housing. The filter end includes a cylindrical base having a surface and a neck extending from the surface. The neck has filter ports and a side surface. The side surface has oppositely directed axially extending elongated protrusions configured to be received in channels in the housing. The base surface includes a complex set of protrusions which are adapted to be received in a similarly configured set of recesses in the housing surface. The protrusions/recesses may take the form of letters, numbers or symbols. The filter end is be fully seated in the housing in bayonet-type fashion to connect the filter ports and the housing ports o permit water to flow through the filter from the water supply to the water cooler.
PUSH FILTER WITH FLOATING KEY LOCK
A filter housing assembly for fluid filtration which may be attached to, and removed from, a filter base by a push-actuated release. The filter housing assembly has a top portion with an ingress port and egress port extending therefrom, and a protrusion extending from the filter housing longitudinally axial center. The ingress and egress port are formed in an hourglass shape. A filter key having a base with a groove for mating with said projection, at least one finger extending from said base, and an electronic circuit component housing attached thereto for receiving a printed circuit board, is connected to the filter housing top portion by mating said top portion protrusion with the filter key groove. Both of said ingress and egress port have at least one cavity for the passage of fluid therethrough, where each cavity is exposed in a direction facing away from the printed circuit board.
