FILTER MEDIA INCLUDING A WAVED FILTRATION LAYER

Filter media including a waved filtration layer are described herein. The filtration layer may be held in a waved configuration by a support layer. In some cases, the filtration layer may have a combination of characteristics (e.g., mean flow pore size, basis weight, amongst others) that can lead to enhanced filtration performance (e.g., reduced air permeability decrease), in particular, in high humidity environments. The filter media may be used to form a variety of filter elements for use in various applications. In some embodiments, at least a surface of the filtration layer is hydrophilic.

FILTER MEDIA STRUCTURES

Provided herein are filter media structures having antimicrobial and/or antiviral properties. In particular, the present disclosure describes filter media structures having a first layer with an electret web and a second layer that demonstrates biological-reducing properties. In some cases, the first layer is formed from polypropylene (e.g., spunbond) and the second layer is formed from a plurality of fibers of a polyamide composition (e.g., meltblown).

FILTER MEDIUM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILTER MEDIUM, WATER TREATMENT MODULE, AND WATER TREATMENT DEVICE

The filter medium is a filter medium which uses a liquid containing oil and water as a separation target, and has a channel for the liquid. The filter medium includes a base constituting the channel, and one or more of nitrogen-containing fluorine compounds which are provided on at least a portion of a surface of the channel. The nitrogen-containing fluorine compound includes an oil-repellency imparting group and any one hydrophilicity imparting group selected from a group consisting of an anion type, a cation type, and an amphoteric type, in a molecule.

FACE MASK

A face mask containing a network of conductive activated carbon meso-fibers crosslinked with a crosslinking agent bonded to a insulative polymeric micro-fiber based purification element. The purification element is captured between two ridged porous elements and contacted to the face by a biocompatible flexible polymeric seal. Optionally the front cover attaches to a main frame of the mask through a system of sliding locks that are coupled with bayonet latch mechanisms. The face mask attaches to the head of a wearer through a harness that couples with the sliding locks or alternatively with a biocompatible adhesive.

STRETCHABLE LAMINATED FILTER MATERIAL AND PROTECTIVE ARTICLE

An improved stretchable filtration fabric laminate is provided. The laminate includes a first fabric layer and a nanofiber layer. The laminate may be stretched without damaging the laminate. The laminate is thus suitable for incorporation into wearable protective garments, such as protective hoods, balaclavas, scarves, etc. that provide both protection and air filtration to the wearer.

COATED SUBSTRATES AND ARTICLES WITH ANTI-VIRAL PROPERTIES, AND FABRICATION PROCESSES

Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to coated substrates having, e.g., anti-viral properties, to articles including the coated substrates, and to processes for making such coated substrates and articles. In an embodiment, a coated substrate is provided. The coated substrate includes a substrate having a weight of about 120 g/m.sup.2 or less according to ASTM D3776, mineral oxide particles, iron oxide particles, or both, coupled to at least a portion of the substrate wherein the coated substrate has a breathing resistance (95 L/min, EN 149:2001) of about 6 mbar or less.

Spunbonded Air-Filtration Web

A single-layer spunbonded air-filtration web including meltspun autogenously bonded electret fibers with an Actual Fiber Diameter of from 3.0 microns to 15 microns. The air-filtration web exhibits a ratio of mean flow pore size to pore size range of from 0.55 to 2.5. Also disclosed are methods of making such webs, and methods of using such webs to perform air filtration.

AIR FILTERING ELEMENT

An air filtering element, for example of a ventilation system, such as an air ventilation system of a vehicle passenger compartment, includes a filtering medium (1). The filtering medium (1) has a main layer (10) of non-woven fabric including synthetic base fibers (110) and antimicrobial agents (120) in metal or in a metal compound and/or based on a metal complex and/or based on a metal salt. The main layer (10) of non-woven fabric has a porosity value of between 80% and 95%, preferably between 85% and 95%, preferably between 85% and 93%. In addition, the main layer (10) has hydrophilic behavior, so as to collect and form aggregates of water on which the antimicrobial agents (120) act and perform their antimicrobial action.

Methods for extracting one or more chemical compounds from cannabis plant material are provided. In some embodiments, the method may comprise: providing the cannabis plant material; extracting the cannabis plant material with a solvent to produce a solvent extract; and filtering the solvent extract through a filter material to produce a filtered extract. Also provided are related systems. Related cannabis extracts and products comprising cannabis extracts are also provided.

Barrier vent assembly

The technology disclosed herein relates to a vent assembly having a vent housing that defines a first airflow pathway, a second airflow pathway, and a third airflow pathway. The first airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with an interior of an enclosure. The second airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with the external environment, and the third airflow pathway extends between the first airflow pathway and the second airflow pathway. A membrane is coupled to the vent housing such that the second airflow pathway and the third airflow pathway are in communication through the membrane. Coalescing filter media is disposed within the vent housing such that the third airflow pathway and the first airflow pathway are in communication through the coalescing filter media. The vent assembly defines a spacing region between the coalescing media and the membrane.
