AIR-FILTER FILTER MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILTER MATERIAL
A method for producing an air-filter filter material according to the present disclosure includes: an adhesion step of adhering a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution to a support, having fluid permeability, and bringing the support into a wet state; and a drying step of drying the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution adhered to the support in a wet state at 140 C. or higher; in the method, the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution contains a cationic surfactant and a water repellent and is free of binder resins other than polyvinyl alcohol, and pores, serving as fluid permeation paths, of the support is, by the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution being dried after completion of the drying step, equipped with a mesh-like network of polyvinyl alcohol.
FILTRATION MEMBER FOR ANTIVIRAL AIR FILTER
A filtration member for an antiviral air filter, having an upstream fiber layer for which the contact angle with respect to water is 60 or less, and a downstream fiber layer for which the contact angle with respect to water is 90 or greater, wherein the filtration member has an antiviral agent and a dispersant either on the upstream fiber layer or on the upstream-fiber-layer-side surface of the downstream fiber layer, and the solid fraction mass ratio of the antiviral agent and the dispersant ((mass of solid fraction of antiviral agent)/(mass of solid fraction of dispersant)) is 0.20-5.0.
The present invention provides a filtration member for an antiviral air filter in which the dust collection performance of the filter is ensured, and the amount of antiviral agent adhering to the filter is reduced and a high virus inactivation rate is achieved irrespective of changes in the environment around the filter.
Antimicrobial filter media, preparation method thereof, and air cleaner comprising same
An antimicrobial filter media, which includes a non-woven fabric; and an antimicrobial agent bound to the nonwoven fabric by a binder, the antimicrobial agent including silver sodium zirconium hydrogenphosphate and thiabendazole, and the silver sodium zirconium hydrogenphosphate and the thiabendazole are employed at a weight ratio of 1:1.5 to 1.5:1, to an air cleaner including the same, and to a process for preparing the same. The antimicrobial filter media includes silver sodium zirconium hydrogenphosphate and thiabendazole, as an antimicrobial agent, at a specific weight ratio. As a result, it is possible to effectively filter harmful microorganisms to supply purified air, to have excellent antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties at the same time, and to further enhance the durability and lifespan characteristics by virtue of excellent filter damage prevention effect.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILTER
A method for producing a filter in which a catalyst is supported on a filter cloth includes: preparing a catalyst slurry; adjusting a contact angle of the catalyst slurry with respect to the filter cloth by adding a surfactant to the catalyst slurry; and applying, to the filter cloth, a catalyst slurry having the contact angle adjusted.
Water filter and medium therefor
A process for making a water filter having the steps of hydropulping particulate and fibrous ingredients including a quantity of fibrillated cellulose with water to create a suspension, circulating the suspension in a molding tank, submerging a mold having cavities in the circulating suspension, applying a vacuum to the cavities to draw the suspension into the cavities such that the water passes through the mold and the ingredients accumulate within the cavities to form a dewatered material, ejecting the dewatered material from the mold to create a molded object, drying and curing the molded object and capping an open end of the molded object to make a filter that flows under gravity and is naturally hydrophilic with a mean flow path (MFP) as determined by porometry of less than 5 micron and preferably less than 2 micron.
Graphitic antiviral filtration element and filtration devices containing same
Provided is filtration member for use in a filtration device, said filtration member comprising a layer of woven or nonwoven fabric having two primary surfaces and a layer of chemically functionalized graphite flakes deposited on at least one of the two primary surfaces or embedded in the layer of woven or nonwoven fabric, wherein said graphite flakes comprise chemical function contain 1%-50% by weight of a non-carbon element selected from O, N, H, F, Cl, Br, I, or a combination thereof. Also provided is a face mask comprising: (a) a mask body configured to cover at least wearer's mouth and nose; and (b) a fastener to hold the mask in place on the wearer's face; wherein the mask body includes (i) an air-permeable outer layer, (ii) an inner layer located on a wearer's side when the mask is worn, and (iii) the filtration member comprising graphite flakes.
