Air Filtering Cover Engageable with Infant Carrier
An air filtering cover is configured to engage over an infant carrier to filter air communicated into an interior cavity thereof. A cover body has a top wall having a pocket with two sidewalls and a filter element and form a flowpath for air communicating through the body and filter to remove dirt, dust, and pathogens from air reaching the occupant of the interior cavity. The filter may be replaceable within a pocket formed in the cover body. A gauge strip may be positioned on the filter which changes in appearance when the filter needs replacement.
COMPOSITE VIRUCIDAL FILTER MEDIA
A composite virucidal filter media is described. The filter media comprises a fibrous substrate comprising a plurality of intermingled fibers, a low cost, nontoxic, hydrophilic polymer without acidic functional groups deposited on a surface of the fibers without the formation of a continuous coating layer on the substrate, and a virucidal metal, a virucidal metal-containing compound, or combinations thereof deposited on the surface of the fibers comprising the hydrophilic polymer without acidic functional groups. The hydrophilic polymer without acidic functional groups can be charged or non-charged. Methods of making virucidal fibrous filter media are also described.
FIBRE COMPRISING ORGANOSILANE FOR PURIFICATION OF LIQUIDS
The present invention relates to a fibre for purification of liquids comprising a matrix of polymer with organosilane impregnated therein and a method for preparing the same. The fibre of the present invention is capable of providing at least 2 log reduction of viruses, bacteria and cysts and flux of 10 to 1000 litre per square meter per hour at 2 psig.
Filtration Media
The disclosure relates to a filtration media comprising a fibrous web impregnated with a resin composition comprising lignin. The fibrous web comprises the lignin in an amount of from 0.1 to 30 wt % by weight of the fibrous web, and the lignin has a density of less than 1.2 g/cm.sup.3 or a weight average molecular weight of less than 20,000 g/mol. The disclosure further relates to a method of manufacturing the filtration media.
NICKEL-BASED AIRBORNE PATHOGEN INHIBITOR AGAINST MICROBES, INCLUDING COVID-19
A filter matrix of nickel, nickel alloy, nickel-plated, nickel-oxide, nickel compound, or a combination thereof, surfaces, surface coatings, and impregnated surfaces that inhibit the growth of microbes that come in contact or in proximity to the surface of the filter. The nickel-based filter matrix reduces and/or eliminates microbes from air that flows over or through the filter. A fan or pressure differential can be used to blow or draw the fluid or air across the treated surfaces.
FILTER MEDIA COMPRISING FLUORINATED AND NON-FLUORINATED WATER REPELLENT ADDITIVES
Filter media comprising fluorinated water-repellent additives and/or water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms are generally provided. Filter media disclosed herein may include fluorinated water-repellent additives but not water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms, water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms but not fluorinated water-repellent additives, or both fluorinated water-repellent additives and water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms.
PHOTOCATALYST-ATTACHED FILTER AND PREPARING METHOD OF THE SAME
The present application relates to a filter having a photocatalyst attached thereto, which comprises: a substrate; and a photocatalyst bonded on the substrate, in which the photocatalyst has each photocatalyst bonded and combined by a polymer binder, and the substrate and the photocatalyst are bonded by a hydrophilic polymer binder.
AIR FILTER WITH PATHOGEN MONITORING AND INACTIVATION
An improved technology for inactivation of viruses, for example the SARS-CoV-2 virus that is causing the Covid-19 pandemic, is described. The technology can include a device that includes a substrate coated in a polymer that is infused with a pathogen inactivating material. In various embodiments, at a given time, a portion of the pathogen inactivating material is exposed to the environment, and the device is configured to periodically or intermittently expose additional pathogen inactivating material to the environment. For example, the polymer can be ablative or sacrificial.
SUPER-HYDROPHILIC SURFACE TREATMENT METHOD OF FILTRATION MEDIUM, SUPER-HYDROPHILIC FILTER FOR OIL-WATER SEPARATION AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME
A super-hydrophilic surface treatment method of a filter medium of a filter for oil-water separation according to the present invention includes preparing a filter medium or a filter including the filter medium using a polymer base or a metal base, and forming a hydrophilic coating layer to the filter medium or the filter including the filter medium by cross-linking bis-acrylamide (N,N-methylenebisacrylamide).
METHOD OF PREVENTING AND HANDLING INDOOR AIR POLLUTION
A method of preventing and handling indoor air pollution is disclosed and includes: providing a portable gas detection device to monitor the air quality in the indoor environment; disposing 1˜75 gas exchangers within the indoor space to inhale outdoor gas, purify and filter the inhaled gas, and introduce the inhaled gas into the indoor space; and remotely controlling the gas exchangers to enable filtration, purification and gas exchange procedure by the portable gas detection device when the portable gas detection device detects an air pollutant in the indoor space, to reduce the air pollutant in the indoor space under a safe detection value within 1 minute, and form a breathable gas, wherein the air pollutant in the gas in the indoor space is exchanged and exported out to outdoor environment, the gas exchangers have an exported airflow rate of 200˜1600 CADR, and the indoor space has a volume of 16.5˜247.5 m.sup.3.
