AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY WITH A PERMEABLE BAFFLE
An air filter assembly comprises a housing, a filter element and a permeable baffle. The housing comprises an outer wall with a substantially cylindrical inner surface, an inlet, and an outlet. The inlet is positioned along and extends through the outer wall. The outlet is positioned along and extends through an axial end of the housing. The filter element comprises a filter media with a substantially cylindrical outer surface. The filter element is positionable within the housing. The permeable baffle is positioned between the inlet and the filter element. The permeable baffle allows at least some air to flow therethrough.
WASHABLE HIGH EFFICIENCY RESPIRATOR MASK
A washable, high efficiency mask has a first, inner layer, a second, intermediate layer, and a third, outer layer. The second, intermediate layer is a filter media that achieves the 95% particulate filtration efficiency (PFE)/bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) filtration. The second, intermediate layer is bonded to a layer adjacent thereto.
Method and apparatus for screening
Methods and apparatuses for screening are provided. Embodiments include a screen basket apparatus for screening material, comprising a grid frame having a plurality of openings arranged in a lattice and a plurality of screening cartridge assemblies affixed to the grid frame to cover the respective openings of the grid frame. The screening cartridge assembly includes a case and a screen assembly fitted into the case, and may be affixed to a set of transversal member of the grid frame. The case may be formed of a single injection molded piece integrally formed by injection molding one of a polyurethane or a thermoset polymer. The screening elements together form a generally continuous screening surface across the exterior of the grid frame, which reduces blinding and is resistant to wear and tear.
EM filter for EGR cooler
An EM filter for an EGR cooler includes a gasket and a mesh filter including a horizontal wire and a vertical wire that are metal wires, wherein the horizontal wire and the vertical wire form a twill weave structure, and wherein a wire diameter of the horizontal wire with respect to a wire diameter of the vertical wire is greater than 1 and less than or equal to 1.3.
Air filter with pathogen monitoring and inactivation
An improved technology for inactivation of viruses, for example the SARS-CoV-2 virus that is causing the Covid-19 pandemic, is described. The technology can include a device that includes a substrate coated in a polymer that is infused with a pathogen inactivating material. In various embodiments, at a given time, a portion of the pathogen inactivating material is exposed to the environment, and the device is configured to periodically or intermittently expose additional pathogen inactivating material to the environment. For example, the polymer can be ablative or sacrificial.
METHANOTROPHIC BIO-BARRIERS FOR REDUCING METHANE EMISSIONS
A bio-barrier for reducing combustible gas emissions from the ground into the atmosphere is disclosed. The bio-barrier includes a geocomposite layer extending laterally beneath a top surface of the ground and a first geotextile layer extending laterally beneath the top surface of the ground and positioned above the geocomposite layer. The geocomposite layer and the geotextile layer configured to laterally disperse the combustible gas through at least the geotextile layer. In addition, at least one sensor may be positioned beneath the top surface of the ground and in or above the geocomposite layer, the at least one sensor measuring a parameter indicative of the concentration or oxidation of the combustible gas beneath the top surface of the ground.
Filtration media, filter packs, and filter elements with protrusions
Pleated filtration media, filtration media packs, and filtration elements containing projections are disclosed. The pleated filtration media includes projections on at least one surface, the projections configured to engage adjacent media sheets so as to reduce masking of the media. The pleated media and media pleat packs contain protrusions on the surface of the media. These protrusions are three dimensional structures that are on the surface of the media and are provided by forming the protrusion directly in the filtration media or applying structures, such as adhesive beads, or onto one or both faces of the media. Elongation of the adhesive bead can facilitate greater separation of the adjacent faces of pleated media if desired. These protrusions, also referred to herein as projections or dimples, can either contact each other or contact flat media and keep adjacent media faces from becoming in intimate contact with each other.
A MULTI-LAYERED REPLACEABLE FILTER ASSEMBLY AND A MICROFILTER ASSEMBLY IMPLIED WITH BATTERY POWERED SUCTION FAN
A multi-layered replaceable filter assembly (100) and a microfilter assembly (200) for providing safety from external exposure. The multi-layered micro filter assembly includes plurality of filter membranes. A first filter membrane (104) prevents particles greater than 10 micron from entering the multi-layered replaceable filter assembly (100). A second filter membrane (106) has embedded activated carbon that destroys micro-organisms including viruses and bacteria. As we go further downstream, the fiber density per cm keeps increasing with the filter membranes. A fifth filter membrane (112) made up of a combination of crabyon fiber and electro-spun nano fibers provides comfort and anti-allergic effect. A sixth filter membrane (114) lowers the velocity of air that occurs from breathing and a method thereof.
METHOD AND TEXTILE USED FOR COLLECTING MICROPLASTICS FROM WATER
A textile and a method of making the same comprising a microplastic collection layer, a microplastic capture layer, and a water resistant protection layer. The microplastic collection outer layer includes a plurality of openings therein for collecting microplastics from a body of water. The microplastic attraction and capture middle layer attracts and captures the microplastics collected by the microplastic collection outer layer. The water resistant protection layer protects a wearer's skin against the microplastics captured by the microplastic attraction and capture middle layer.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
A fluid management system including an inlet configured to receive pre-processed fluid is provided. The system includes a filtering apparatus configured to remove contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The filtering apparatus includes a plate having a first opening. A first manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations and a second opening at least partially aligned with the first opening. A second manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations. Filter media is disposed between the first manifold pipe and the second manifold pipe and is configured to separate the contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The system also includes an outlet coupled to the second manifold pipe to receive processed fluid from the filtering apparatus.
