COMPOSITE NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ARTICLE COMPRISING SAME
A non-woven fabric composite and an article including the same are provided. The non-woven fabric includes an electrostatically treated meltblown non-woven fabric layer and a spunbond non-woven fabric layer on one or both sides thereof, and has a fine dust removal performance retention ratio, represented by Equation 1, of 80% or more:
Fine dust removal performance retention ratio (%)=(fine dust removal efficiency after accelerated aging treatment)/(fine dust removal efficiency before accelerated aging treatment)×100 [Equation 1]
wherein, in this equation, the fine dust is an aerosol containing sodium chloride dispersed in air, and the accelerated aging treatment refers to a case where the non-woven fabric composite is stored at a temperature of 70° C. for 3 days.
ARTICLE FOR INFECTION PREVENTION FOR FOMITE MATERIALS
An embodiment is an article configured to inhibit or prevent pathogen growth. The article includes an inner layer configured to face a wearer's skin when the face covering article is applied to the face of the wearer; a middle layer adjacent to the inner layer; and an outer protection layer adjacent to the middle layer and opposite the inner layer and comprising a substrate and metal particles in the substrate, wherein the metal particles are configured to inhibit or prevent pathogen growth.
RESPIRATOR MASK
The invention provides a respirator mask comprising a filter material piece made from an air-permeable material and at least one securing band, wherein the air-permeable material comprises at least one layer of a non-woven biodegradable material, wherein the at least one securing band is designed for securing the respirator mask to the head.
RESPIRATOR MASK
The invention provides a respirator mask comprising a filter material piece made of an air-permeable material and at least one securing band, wherein the air-permeable material comprises at least one layer of a non-woven fabric comprising or consisting of fibres formed from one or more recycled plastic materials, and wherein the at least one securing band is designed for securing the respirator mask to the head.
GLASS FIBER FREE FILTER MEDIUM WITH A DENSIFIED LAYER MADE OF SYNTHETIC FIBERS
A multi-layered filter medium with a densified layer made of synthetic fibers is useful for filtering liquids. A method for its production involves providing multiple layers, densifying a layer, and joining the multiple layers.
Coated substrates and articles with anti-viral properties, and fabrication processes
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to coated substrates having, e.g., anti-viral properties, to articles including the coated substrates, and to processes for making such coated substrates and articles. In an embodiment, a mask for preventing infection by a virus is provided. The mask includes a coated substrate having a breathing resistance (95 L/min, EN 149:2001) of about 6 mbar or less and a water droplet absorption time of less than about 5 seconds. The coated substrate includes a non-woven fabric having a weight of about 120 g/m.sup.2 or less according to ASTM D3776, and mineral oxide particles, iron oxide particles, or both, coupled to at least a portion of the non-woven fabric.
POLYAMIDE NANOFIBER NONWOVENS
A nanofiber nonwoven product is disclosed which comprises a polyamide with a relative viscosity from 2 to 330, spun into nanofibers with an average diameter of less than 1000 nanometers (1 micron). In general, the inventive products are prepared by: (a) providing a polyamide composition, wherein the polyamide has a relative viscosity from 2 to 330; (b) melt spinning the polyamide composition into a plurality of nanofibers having an average fiber diameter of less than 1 micron, followed by (c) forming the nanofibers into the product.
Polyamide nanofiber nonwovens

In general, the inventive products are prepared by: (a) providing a polyamide composition, wherein the polyamide has a relative viscosity from 2 to 330; (b) melt spinning the polyamide composition into a plurality of nanofibers having an average fiber diameter of less than 1 micron, followed by (c) forming the nanofibers into the product.
MEDICAL AIRWAY DEVICE
A medical airway device includes a housing having at least one breathing circuit port and including an airway filter arranged to filter air flowing through the at least one breathing circuit port. The airway filter includes a layered filter including at least a first separate filter layer and a second separate filter layer being stacked on top of each other so that neighbouring separate filter layers abut each other. The layered filter has a first surface being laminated with a first scrim layer and a second surface being laminated with a second scrim layer. Each separate filter layer is a non-woven fiber layer.
ANTIVIRAL ARTICLES AND MASKS
One or more embodiments of the present disclosure includes antiviral masks with at least one metallic layer. In one or more embodiments, the at least one metallic layer can be a copper based metallic layer and can be shaped as a facial mask that covers the exposed orifices of a user's face, including the nose and mouth, and can be used independently of other layers and/or other masks.
