UNDULATED FILTER MEDIA
Filter media comprising non-woven fiber webs and having one or more advantageous structural properties are generally described. In some embodiments, a filter media and/or non-woven fiber web described herein has one or more properties that are both beneficial and easily obtainable by undulating the non-woven fiber web, such as by performing a creping procedure. This property may be characteristic of the procedure employed to form the undulations (e.g., creping and/or microcreping), or may be attainable via one or more methods of undulation.

Provided are an air filter medium and an air filter product that can have a long life. The air filter medium includes a filter medium layer that includes first fibers having an average fiber diameter of not less than 5 μm and not greater than 50 μm and second fibers disposed in gaps between the first fibers and having an average fiber diameter of not less than 30 nm and not greater than 1 μm.
FILTER MEDIA COMPRISING FLUORINATED AND NON-FLUORINATED WATER REPELLENT ADDITIVES
Filter media comprising fluorinated water-repellent additives and/or water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms are generally provided. Filter media disclosed herein may include fluorinated water-repellent additives but not water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms, water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms but not fluorinated water-repellent additives, or both fluorinated water-repellent additives and water-repellent additives having minimal or no fluorine atoms.
GLASS FIBER FILTER ELEMENT FOR VISIBLE LIGHT PHOTOCATALYSIS AND AIR PURIFICATION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A glass fiber filter element for visible light photocatalysis and air purification and a method for preparing the same. The glass fiber filter element includes 4 to 7 wt % of nanoparticles including at least one selected from zinc oxide, graphene oxide, titanium oxide, and reduced graphene oxide, 2 to 7 wt % of silver nanowires, 3 to 12 wt % of an adhesive system, and 78 to 91 wt % of a glass fiber mat, based on the total weight of the glass fiber filter element. The glass fiber mat is made of at least two glass fibers with different diameters, and the diameters are in a range of 0.15 to 3.5 μm. The nanoparticles have a particle size from 1 to 200 nm, and the silver nanowires have a diameter of 15 to 50 nm.
Beverage filtration article
The present invention provides compositions comprising cellulose fibers and cellulose ester fibers and wet laid articles made from the compositions, as well as wet laid processes to produce these compositions. More specifically, the present invention provided compositions comprising cellulose fibers and cellulose acetate fibers and wet laid articles made from these compositions as well as wet laid processes to produce these compositions. The present invention also relates to developing a composition, process, wet laid product, or articles exhibiting any one of many desired benefits. The present invention relates a filtration article comprising a wet-laid composition comprising cellulose fibers and staple fibers.
PVDF FILTERING FACE-PIECE RESPIRATOR AND RECYCLING METHOD
The invention relates to a respiratory protection mask made of polyvinylidene fluoride and to a method for manufacturing said mask. The invention also relates to a method for reconditioning said mask. The invention also relates to a method for recycling this respiratory protection mask.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THERMALLY BONDING FIBER
A system for thermally bonding nonwoven fibers of assemblages of nonwoven fibers loosely held together may include a processing duct including an inlet end, an outlet end, and an intermediate portion extending between the inlet end and the outlet end. The system also may include one or more heat inlets located in the intermediate portion and configured to facilitate introduction of heat and air flow into the intermediate portion. The system further may include an inlet air feed at the inlet end and configured to separate the assemblages upon entry into the inlet end and propel the assemblages into the intermediate portion. The system also may include one or more heating devices configured to heat the assemblages as the assemblages are conveyed toward the outlet end to form processed assemblages, each of the processed assemblages including at least some nonwoven fibers adhered to one another.
High temperature treated media
A thermally bonded filtration media that can be used in high temperature conditions in the absence of any loss of fiber through thermal effects or mechanical impact on the fiber components is disclosed. The filter media can be manufactured and used in a filter unit or structure, can be placed in a stream of removable fluid, and can remove a particulate load from the mobile stream at an increased temperature range. The combination of bi-component fiber, other filter media fiber, and other filtration additives provides an improved filtration media having unique properties in high temperature, high performance applications.
Convoluted Dual Density Filter Material
A dual layer filter material for separating fluid or particulates from flowing air streams that is comprised of connected layers of nonwoven batting with one layer having a convoluted surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF FIBROUS MATERIALS AND NANOPARTICLES
Systems and methods are provided for continuously manufacturing fibrous materials and products, such as filters. A system comprises a conveyor for advancing a substrate comprising fibrous materials from an upstream end to a downstream end, and a feeder for feeding groups of nanofibers into a fluid medium. A fiberization device is coupled to the feeder and configured to convert the groups of nanofibers into individual nanoparticles. A dispersion device coupled to the fiberization device disperses the nanoparticles into the substrate to form a fibrous material. This distributes the nanoparticles more uniformly throughout the fibrous material. In addition, the system continuously manufactures the material to form a product with improved quality, yield and reduced cost and time.
