Inflator filter
A filter for an inflator includes a rolled sheet centered on an axis or three dimensionally printed as a whole and including a plurality of openings. A deflector is associated with each opening for directing inflation fluid in a non-radial direction relative to the axis.
Filter
The present invention provides a filter which, even when raw water is subjected to high-speed treatment, enables achieving a high solute rejection ratio and a long solute filtration life and which exhibits a low water flow resistance. The present invention pertains to a filter obtained by laminating woven fabrics or knitted fabrics, the filter being characterized in that: said woven fabrics or knitted fabrics comprise a fiber capable of adsorbing components dissolved in liquid: said fiber has a diameter of 100-600 m; the woven fabrics or knitted fabrics have a porosity of 15-70%; and variation in area porosity in the thickness direction of the laminate is 15% or less.
Coalescing filter media
Filter media, filter elements, and methods for filtering an gas stream are described herein. In some embodiments, the filter media may comprise a fiber web comprising a plurality of fibers and having a particular oil repellency level. For instance, in certain embodiments, the surface chemistry of the fiber web may be tailored to impart a particular surface energy density that matches the surface energy density of the fluid (e.g., an oil, a lubricant, and/or a cooling agent) being removed from the gas stream. In some embodiments, the fiber web may be wrapped around a core. For example, the fiber web may be wrapped around the core such that it forms two or more layers around the core. In some cases, the fiber web may be perforated. In certain embodiments, an gas stream comprising a fluid (e.g., an oil, a lubricant, and/or a cooling agent) may be passed through the fiber web, filter media, and/or filter element such that at least a portion of the fluid coalesces on the fiber web. Fiber webs, filter media, and/or filter elements as described herein may be particularly well-suited for applications that involve filtering gas streams containing oil, lubricants, and/or cooling agents (e.g., gas streams generated by a compressor) though the media may also be used in other applications. Advantageously, the fiber webs, filter media, and/or filter elements described herein may significantly reduce or prevent fouling of the filter caused by oil or other liquids.

In process screen parameter measurement and control
A technique facilitates construction of a wire-wrapped screen. A wrapping machine is operated with a sensor, e.g. a camera, positioned adjacent the wrapping machine while wire is wrapped to create the wire-wrapped screen. The sensor is used to obtain data on at least one parameter of the wire-wrapped screen during creation of the wire-wrapped screen. Data is provided to a controller in communication with the wrapping machine to improve the quality of the wire-wrapped screen. For example, data from the images obtained via the camera may be provided to the controller which is configured to determine slot width as the wire is wrapped. The controller is then able to provide feedback in real time to the wrapping machine so as to adjust the wrapping machine for maintaining a desired slot width.
Filtration Media for Filtration/Purification of a Liquid or Gas, Related Reactor Modules, Filtration Devices and Methods
The invention includes a filtration medium for the purification of a liquid or a gas material that includes a mat having a first surface and a second surface. At least one of the first surface or the second surface is substantially non-planar. The mat comprises a foamed resin having a density of about 1 lbs/ft3 to about 3 lbs to ft3 and/or an indentation load deflection of about 35 lbs to about 150 lbs.
Also included in the invention is a filtration medium for the purification of a liquid or a gas material comprising at least two mats, each mat having a first surface and a second surface, wherein at least one of the first surface or the second surface is substantially non-planar and has a substantially non-uniform convolution profile. Included are devices for the filtration of a liquid and/or gas that comprise one or more reactor modules. The reactor modules include the filtration medium and a substantially cylindrical chamber and/or a substantially rectangular chamber that may include sides, a top and a bottom. The chamber additionally includes a base that extends from the sides of the chamber towards the interior of the chamber and the filtration medium is disposed within the chamber.
Methods of filtering a gas or liquid material using the filtration medium are also provided, as are methods of fabrication of the modules.
Nonwoven sliver-based filter medium for filtering particulate matter
A filter medium for filtering matter from a fluid and the manufacture thereof are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method may be performed by a filter medium for filtering particulate matter from a fluid. Further, the filter medium may include a nonwoven sliver formed into a predetermined shape and composed of first synthetic staple fibers having a first denier, second synthetic staple fibers having a second denier, and third synthetic staple fibers having a third denier.
CARBON NANOTUBES-BASED FILTRATION MEDIA
A filtration element comprising a thread-based medium comprising one or more threads, wherein each thread comprises at least one filament of carbon nanotube (CNT), and wherein the filtration element is configured to filter a feed fluid based on a filtration operation wherein the feed fluid passes through the thread-based medium.
Oil catch apparatus
An oil catch apparatus is provided. The oil catch apparatus is capable of efficiently extracting oil from air flowing through the oil catch apparatus while being of compact size. A filter of the oil catch apparatus includes a cylindrically wound main filter unit and a keep member for keeping both ends of the main filter unit. Air flowing into the main filter unit is cleared of impurities upon passing through the main filter unit, and exits out of the main filter unit.
DEVICE FOR SWIMMING POOL SKIMMING AND FILTERING
A filtration device for swimming pool cleaning system combines a filter and a skimmer together as a one unit. The device is made from a perforated plastics or steel tube spirally-wrapped with a sheet of filter media such as non-woven fabric or cloth or other soft and porous materials for multiple layers. The filter media such as non-woven fabric or cloth or other soft and porous materials is washable, reusable, and disposable. This device is placed and installed at the same location as for the normal swimming pool skimmer where the water is pumped from the pool into its cleaning system. This device has a large opening on the bottom, and the opening is blocked by use of a plug. This device has a transparent top cover plate. This device is capable of not only blocking and removing large leaves and debris, but also blocking and removing micro-size fine particles as water flows through. This device is simple, small, light in weight, and cheap to make.
