INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND GAME PROCESSING METHOD
An example of an information processing system sets any one of teams in a competitive game into an operable state. During the competitive game, the information processing system causes an object included in a team in the operable state to perform at least one of a plurality of types of actions including battle, based on an instruction by a user associated with the team or on a control performed by the information processing system. A first evaluation value is calculated based on the result of the battle. Each time the progress state of the competitive game satisfies a condition, a second evaluation value is calculated based on the number of objects placed in a predetermined area in a game space. The information processing system determines a winner and a loser in the competitive game, based on the first evaluation value and the second evaluation value.
PROGRAM, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium configured to operate a game program. The program may cause an information processing device to execute a step of storing information relating to a game part, a step of displaying a screen including a first interface capable of detecting a first user operation, a determination step of (if the first user operation is detected) determining a mode of the game part to be one of a first mode or a second mode, a change step of changing a part of the screen according to the mode of the game part determined in the determination step, and an execution step of executing the game part in the mode determined in the determination step.

Method for scripting inter-scene transitions
A method for authoring and displaying a virtual tour of a three-dimensional space which employs transitional effects simulating motion. An authoring tool is provided for interactively defining a series of locations in the space for which two-dimensional images, e.g., panoramas, photographs, etc., are available. A user identifies one or more view directions for a first-person perspective viewer for each location. For pairs of locations in the series, transitional effects are identified to simulate smooth motion between the pair of locations. The authoring tool stores data corresponding to the locations, view directions and transitional effects for playback on a display. When the stored data is accessed, a virtual tour of the space is created that includes transitional effects simulating motion between locations. The virtual tour created can allow a viewer to experience the three-dimensional space in a realistic manner.
INFORMATION PROCESSOR, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processor (10m) includes a control unit (104). On a basis of position information indicating a perceptual position that causes a haptic stimulus to be perceived in a haptic presentation device (2) and on a basis of haptic stimulus type information specifying a type of the haptic stimulus, and in accordance with an arrangement of one or more haptic stimulus units provided in the haptic presentation device (2), the control unit (104) generates a haptic control signal to each of the haptic stimulus units for presentation of the haptic stimulus of the type specified at the perceptual position, and a script in which time information on a reproduction content and one or more of the generated haptic control signals are associated with each other.
IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING ENVIRONMENT
Techniques for providing an immersive storytelling experience using a plurality of storytelling devices. Each of the storytelling devices may be configured to perform one or more actions based on a current context of a story and in response to a stimulus event. The actions include at least one of an auditory and a visual effect. Embodiments also provide a controller device configured to manage a playback of the story, by adjusting the stimulus event and the effect of each of the plurality of storytelling devices, based on the current context of the story, thereby creating an interactive and immersive storytelling experience.

Mixed reality gaming system
An interactive mixed reality system for one or more users, in which both real-world entities and virtual world entities are capable of being interacted with by one or more users, or by objects (47, 91) for use by users, and the system arranged to computationally maintain game state and the evolution of events in the real-world and the virtual world, and the system arranged to generate a response (such as visual or tactile/haptic, or by way of cause and effect) which is experienced or perceived by the one or more users.
REAL-TIME ADJUSTMENT OF APPLICATION-SPECIFIC OPERATING PARAMETERS FOR BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY
Performance of a new system may be optimized to run a legacy application written for a legacy system. Performance information for the legacy application is recorded or derived while running the legacy application on the new system. Performance characteristics for the legacy application running on the new system are determined by analyzing the performance information. The performance characteristics include one or more key performance metrics and other performance information. The key performance metrics must be met when the legacy application is run on the new system. The other performance information is useful for adjusting one or more operating parameters of the new system when running the legacy application on the new system. The one or more operating parameters are adjusted so that the one or more key performance metrics are met.
Application state backup and restoration across multiple devices
Technology for a method for backing up and restoring application state across multiple devices is disclosed herein. The method includes running an instance of a computer application at a first electronic device, determining a backup event that occurs in the first electronic device, wherein the backup event suggests a backup of application state data and the application state data represent an application state of the computer application at the backup event, and transmitting the application state data of the computer application to a remote storage service, in response to the backup event. A second electronic device can retrieve the application state data from the remote storage service and restore the application state.
