Fluids, Solids and Heavy Component Removal From Reclaimer Process Liquid Streams
A process for removing solids/sludge, unwanted liquids and heavy components from processing liquids. The process involving adjusting the pH of the feed stream comprising processing liquids, water, and one or more contaminants and introducing the stream into a solids/liquids/liquids centrifuge. The solids removal process being incorporated into a processing liquid reclaiming/recovery process.
Systems and methods for generating water from air
A water generation system for generating liquid water from a process gas containing water vapor is disclosed. In various embodiments, the water generation systems comprise a solar thermal unit, a condenser and a controller configured to operate the water generation system between a loading operational mode and a release operational mode for the production of liquid water. A method of generating water from a process gas is disclosed herein. In various embodiments, the method comprises flowing a process gas into a solar thermal unit, transitioning from the loading operational mode to a release operational mode; flowing a regeneration fluid into the solar thermal unit and the condenser during the release operational mode; and, condensing water vapor from the regeneration fluid to produce liquid water.
Using Carbon Dioxide From A Direct Air Capture System As A Low Global Warming Car And Industrial Refrigerant
An apparatus includes a captured carbon dioxide input. The captured carbon dioxide input is coupled to receive captured carbon dioxide from a direct air capture system. The apparatus uses the captured carbon dioxide as a low global warming refrigerant to provide cooling functionality in automotive, commercial, and industrial applications, or other operations involving low global warming refrigerants. In various embodiments, the apparatus is a refrigeration apparatus or a heat pump apparatus. Low global warming carbon dioxide refrigerant is natural, non-toxic, non-flammable, and abundant when obtained from a direct air capture system. Moreover, carbon dioxide refrigerant has a high heat transfer coefficient and has a global warming potential (GWP) of one. Carbon dioxide refrigerant is a more sustainable and efficient coolant option than common refrigerants, such as R22, R152, R404a, and R1234yf refrigerants.
Method and apparatus for purification and treatment of air
The invention discloses methods and apparatus(es) for the removal and control of pollutants such as gases and suspended particulates in the air of an enclosed space or an outdoor environment by passing the air through absorbent media. The absorbent media includes any liquid, solid or combination of liquid and solid media that is capable of absorbing a material in which it comes in contact. In one aspect of the invention, formaldehyde is removed by air sparging through a liquid such as water, optionally containing additional scavenging agents.
HUMIDITY CONTROL DEVICE
Provided is a humidity control device capable of stably absorbing and desorbing moisture. The humidity control device includes: a moisture absorber causing a hygroscopic material to come into contact with air so that the hygroscopic material absorbs portion of moisture contained in the air, the hygroscopic material being in liquid and containing water, polyalcohol having hygroscopicity, and metal salt having hygroscopicity; and a composition controller controlling composition of the hygroscopic material. The composition controller controls the composition of the hygroscopic material to be within a range in which the hygroscopic material is capable of absorbing the moisture while the metal salt is kept from being deposited.
Compact regeneration of liquid desiccant
A method for regenerating liquid desiccant is described herein. The method includes co-currently contacting a rich desiccant stream including water with a stripping gas within a co-current contacting system such that the stripping gas removes at least a portion of the water from the rich desiccant stream, producing a wet stripping gas and a lean desiccant stream. The method also includes removing the water from the wet stripping gas within a stripping gas separation system, regenerating the stripping gas, and recirculating the stripping gas to the co-current contacting system.
MOBILE REFRIGERATION UNIT
In one embodiment, a gas conditioning system includes a trailer chassis, an inlet valve, a chiller, a separator, a system outlet, and a dehydration agent injection system. The inlet valve may be coupled to the trailer chassis and may be configured to direct flow to a fluid conduit. The chiller may be in thermal communication with the fluid conduit and is configured to remove heat from the flow within the fluid conduit The separator may be coupled to the trailer chassis and define a separator inlet to receive flow from the fluid conduit. The separator may be configured to direct conditioned gas from the separator inlet to a first separator outlet. The system outlet may be configured to receive flow from the first separator outlet. The dehydration agent injection system includes an injector, a dehydration agent, and a reboiler.
Universal planar membrane device for mass transfer
A membrane device is presented that can used for a wide range of applications from once-through filtration, crossflow filtration, molecular separation, gas/liquid absorption or reaction, gas dispersion into liquid, and degassing of liquid. The device comprises a thin flat sheet membrane that allows certain fluid or molecules go through while blocking others. The membrane sheet is fixed on a supporting structure with mini channel on two sides of the membrane for respective feed and sweep flows. The membrane sheet is sealed with gaskets with two cover plates that the membrane sheet can be replaced or cleaned. The cover plate provides connection ports to connect the feed fluid to the feed channels on one membrane surface and to connect the sweep fluid to the sweep channels on the other surface of the membrane.
