Provided are: an exhaust gas treatment catalyst capable of improving NO conversion rate when performing denitrification using CO as a reducing agent, and improving CO oxidation rate when oxidizing CO present in the exhaust gas; a method for producing an exhaust gas treatment catalyst; and an exhaust gas treatment system. The exhaust gas treatment catalyst is a catalyst which uses CO as a reducing agent to treat exhaust gas from a sintering furnace, and contains: a support that is a metal oxide or metal sulfate; and an active metal containing at least iridium supported by the support, wherein the specific surface area of the catalyst is 100 m.sup.2/g or less, and the crystallite size of iridium in the catalyst is 10-25 nm.

The catalytic metal includes one or more precious metals selected from rhodium, palladium, and platinum.

The present disclosure relates to a method for photocatalytic ozonation reaction, in which the silicon carbide material is used. By using the silicon carbide material for photocatalytic ozonation reaction, the present disclosure overcomes the problem of low photocatalytic efficiency of silicon carbide, utilizes photogenerated electrons therefrom with strong reducibility to reduce ozone molecules to efficiently produce hydroxyl radicals, so as to improve the oxidation capacity in the process. Whether visible light or ultraviolet light is coupled with ozone, the group has strong catalytic activity, moreover, the silicon carbide has low cost and good stability, which prolongs the life of catalyst for photocatalytic ozonation or device.

Application of synergized-PGM with ultra-low PGM loadings as underfloor three-way catalysts for internal combustion engines

Synergized platinum group metals (SPGM) with ultra-low PGM loadings employed as underfloor (UF) three-way catalyst (TWC) systems with varied material compositions and configurations are disclosed. SPGM UF catalysts in which ZPGM compositions of binary and ternary spinel structures supported onto support oxides are coupled with commercialized PGM close-coupled (CC) catalysts and tested under Federal Test Procedure FTP-75 within TGDI and PI engines. The performance of the TWC systems including commercialized PGM CC and SPGM UF (with ultra-low PGM loadings) catalysts is compared to the performance of commercialized PGM CC and PGM UF catalysts. The disclosed TWC systems indicate that SPGM UF TWC catalytic performance is comparable or even exceeds high PGM-based conventional TWC catalysts, with reduced tailpipe emissions.
