GLASS CATALYST COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPROVED HYDROTHERMAL DURABILITY
A diesel soot filter includes a substrate having a surface disposed at least partially within a fluid path of the diesel soot filter. A glass catalyst is disposed on the surface of the substrate such that an exhaust gas contacts at least a portion of a surface of the glass catalyst as the exhaust gas moves within the diesel soot filter. The glass catalyst comprises a plurality of alkali metal ions disposed within the glass catalyst and releasable to the surface of the glass catalyst at a controlled rate and the alkali metal ions combust with the soot as the exhaust gas travels along the fluid path. An oxide basis of the glass catalyst comprises Silicon (Si), Potassium (K), Cesium (Ce), and Zirconium (Zr)
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST
The present disclosure provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst having improved performance for purifying an exhaust gas, in particular, an exhaust gas containing NOx. The exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present disclosure includes Rh-supporting composite oxide support particles containing Al, Zr, and Ti and Rh-supporting aluminum phosphate-based support particles. Furthermore, in the exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present disclosure, the ratio of the moles of metals constituting the aluminum phosphate-based support particles, relative to the total moles of metals constituting the composite oxide support particles and the aluminum phosphate-based support particles is 7.5% or more and 15.0% or less.
Optimization of Zero-PGM washcoat and overcoat loadings on metallic substrate
The present disclosure refers to a plurality of process employed for optimization of Zero-PGM washcoat and overcoat loadings on metallic substrates. According to an embodiment a substantial increase in conversion of HC and CO may be achieved by optimizing the total washcoat and overcoat loadings of the catalyst. According to another embodiment, the present disclosure may provide solutions to determine the optimum total washcoat and overcoat loadings for minimizing washcoat adhesion loss. As a result, may increase the conversion of HC and CO from discharge of exhaust gases from internal combustion engines, optimizing performance of Zero-PGM catalyst systems.

The catalyst composites contain a core and a shell at least substantially covering the core, the shell mechanically fused to the core and comprising particles mechanically fused to each other, wherein a size ratio of the core to particles of the shell is at least about 10:1.

The present invention provides a catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end and an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region comprising support material particles; at least some of the support material particles are rhodium-supporting support material particles having rhodium supported thereon at a concentration of from 0.001 to 3.5 wt. %, based on the weight of the rhodium-supporting support material particle; and the rhodium is present at a loading of up to 20 g/ft.sup.3 relative to the first catalytic region.

An exhaust gas purification catalyst (10) contains a refractory three-dimensional structure (20), a second catalyst layer (31) containing palladium and rhodium, and a first catalyst layer (32) containing palladium positioned between the refractory three-dimensional structure (20) and the second catalyst layer (31), in which the first catalyst layer (32) or the second catalyst layer (31) further contains a ZrPr composite oxide that is a composite oxide of zirconium and praseodymium. A proportion of a mass of praseodymium oxide contained in the ZrPr composite oxide relative to a total mass of zirconium oxide and praseodymium oxide contained in the ZrPr composite oxide may be 11% or more and 90% or less.
