TREATMENT OF EMISSIONS IN POWER PLANTS
A method for injecting a reductant into an exhaust gas stream of a combustion turbine engine for selective catalytic reduction. The method may include the steps of: directing the exhaust gas stream through an exhaust duct; receiving the directed exhaust gas for treatment by a catalyst positioned within the exhaust duct; providing a reductant in a liquid state; pressurizing and heating the reductant in a manner that maintains the reductant in the liquid state; and injecting the heated, pressurized reductant into the exhaust gas stream such that the reductant flash vaporizes upon injection due to a pressure differential.
CATALYST FILTER COMPRISING NANO METALLIC CATALYST SPRAYED ON THE SURFACE OF SUPPORT
Disclosed is a catalyst filter, which includes a catalyst support and a nano metallic catalyst sprayed to a surface of the catalyst support. The catalyst filter uses catalyst slurry prepared by using a particulate catalyst, in which a small amount of nano metallic catalyst exhibiting a catalyst performance is sprayed to a surface of the catalyst support, different from an existing patent technique in which catalyst particles are formed and prepared as a support to consume a large amount of catalyst. Therefore, the specific surface area of the catalyst filter is not smaller than the specific surface area of the nano catalyst particles, and thus the catalyst filter may effectively remove and decompose ultra-low concentration gas-state contaminants in an indoor air.
Multifunctional catalyst for hydrocarbon oxidation and selective catalytic reduction of NOx
The present invention relates to a catalyst for the oxidation of hydrocarbon and the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides, the catalyst comprising a substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end, a substrate axial length extending from the inlet end to the outlet end and a plurality of passages defined by internal walls of the substrate extending therethrough; and a coating disposed on the surface of the internal walls of the substrate, wherein the surface de-fines the interface between the passages and the internal walls, wherein the coating comprises a platinum group metal component supported on a first oxidic material and further comprises a mixed oxide of vanadium and one or more of iron, erbium, bismuth, cerium, europium, gadolinium, holmium, lanthanum, lutetium, neodymium, praseodymium, promethium, samarium, scandium, terbium, thulium, ytterbium, yttrium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, cobalt, nickel, copper, aluminum and antimony, wherein the mixed oxide is supported on a second oxidic material.
Zoned catalyst for treating exhaust gas
Provided is a system for treating an exhaust gas comprising a first SCR catalyst zone comprising vanadium loaded on a metal oxide selected from TiO.sub.2, ZrO.sub.2, SiO.sub.2, CeO.sub.2, and Al.sub.2O.sub.3; and a second SCR catalyst zone comprising a copper loaded small-pore molecular sieve, wherein the first SCR catalyst zone is disposed upstream of the second SCR catalyst zone with respect to normal exhaust gas flow through the system. Also provided is a method for using the system to treat exhaust gas.
Catalyst For Selective Catalytic Reduction and Preparation Method Therefor
A catalyst for selective catalytic reduction is described. Cerium (III) sulfate (cerous sulfate) is bound to a support. The catalyst also includes vanadium oxide and cerium oxide.
Catalyst material and process for the production thereof
A TiO2-based catalyst material in particle form having a content of metal removes pollutants, in particular of nitrogen oxides from combustion gases.
DUAL CATALYST HEATING SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for an exhaust gas aftertreatment system for a combustion engine in a motor vehicle. In one example, the exhaust gas aftertreatment comprises at least two catalyst devices arranged in an exhaust tract, and a feed device for a reducing agent arranged between the two catalysts, and which furthermore comprises a first heat device at the inlet of the first catalyst and a second heat device downstream thereof, the system adapted for the reduction of nitrogen oxides.
USE OF MIXED OXIDES AS OXYGEN STORAGE COMPONENTS
The present invention is concerned with the use of certain oxygen storage components. In particular, the use of special mixed oxides as oxygen storage components in exhaust catalysis is disclosed.
PROCESS FOR CLEANING CARBON DIOXIDE-CONTAINING PROCESS GASES FROM THE PREPARATION OF VINYL ACETATE
The invention provides processes for cleaning carbon dioxide-containing process gases from the preparation of vinyl acetate after reaction of ethylene with acetic acid and oxygen in heterogeneously catalyzed, continuous gas phase processes, characterized in that carbon dioxide-containing process gases, for removal of carbon dioxide, are contacted with one or more scrubbing solutions, and one or more scrubbing solutions comprise one or more oxides of metals (metal oxides) selected from the group comprising vanadium, niobium, tantalum, chromium, molybdenum, manganese and arsenic.
Integrated filter material and preparation method and application thereof
An integrated filter material, a preparation method and an application. The filter material is composed of a commercial dust removal filter material and a catalyst that is grown on the filter material and that has a function of simultaneously decomposing nitrogen oxides and dioxins. In the preparation method, a precursor solution of manganese and cerium oxides is impregnated on the filter material, and manganese and cerium oxides are grown on the filter material by means of a chemical reaction; and vanadium oxychloride is used as a precursor of vanadium oxide and is impregnated on the filter material, reacts in water, and prepared by drying, hydrothermal and other processes. The composite filter material may remove three kinds of pollutants in flue gas at the same time, and the catalyst is firmly loaded and does not easily fall off.
