Photocatalytic oxidation device for treatment of air
Disclosed herein is a photocatalytic oxidation device that includes a frame and a pair of opposing photocatalytic cell panels. An ultraviolet lamp is disposed within an interior chamber and, when activated, causes the generation of oxidizers at the cell panels. Air is passable through apertures of the cell panels and thus may be moved through the device. The device is structurally configured and dimensionally optimized to provide effective photocatalytic activity without overly restricting airflow.
Tunable NO.SUB.x .adsorber
The present disclosure is directed to a method for treating a gaseous exhaust stream containing nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.x) from a diesel or lean-burn gasoline engine following a cold-start of the engine The method involves contact of the gaseous exhaust stream with at least a low temperature NO.sub.x adsorber (LT-NA) component. The LT-NA component includes a rare earth metal component, a platinum group metal (PGM) component, and a dopant. The present disclosure is also directed to a method of modulating a NO.sub.x adsorption/desorption profile of an LT-NA composition, a NO.sub.x desorption temperature range of an LT-NA composition, or both.
CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE CONCENTRATOR
A chemical substance concentrator includes a tubular body, and a plurality of adsorption parts provided with predetermined intervals on a surface of the tubular body facing an inside of the tubular body. The chemical substance concentrator can cause a sample to easily pass through the chemical substance concentrator.

Multi-functional composition of matter for rapid removal of mercury from a flue gas
A multi-functional composition of matter that is useful for injection into a flue gas stream to rapidly and efficiently remove mercury from the flue gas stream. The multi-functional composition of matter may include a fixed carbon sorbent and minerals, halogens in the form of halide salts, as well as other physical and chemical properties to enhance (1) the oxidation reaction kinetics for the oxidation of mercury species and (2) the mass diffusion kinetics of the mercury species.
Metal oxide-based SCR catalyst composition
The present disclosure provides SCR catalyst compositions capable of reducing nitrogen oxide (NO.sub.x) emissions in engine exhaust. The catalyst compositions include a reducible metal oxide support containing ceria, one or more transition metal oxides as a redox promotor; and an oxide of niobium, tungsten, silicon, molybdenum, or a combination thereof as an acidic promotor. The redox promotor and the acid promotor are both supported on the reducible metal oxide support. Further provided are SCR catalyst articles coated with such compositions, processes for preparing such catalyst compositions and articles, an exhaust gas treatment system including such catalyst articles, and methods for reducing NO.sub.x in an exhaust gas stream using such catalyst articles and systems.
Cerium-tin-based composite oxide catalyst for catalyzing purification of nitrogen oxide, preparation method and application thereof
The present application relates to a cerium-tin-based composite oxide catalyst for catalyzing purification of a nitrogen oxide, a preparation method and an application thereof. The catalyst has the following chemical composition: a cerium-tin oxide and an M oxide, wherein the M is selected from any one of or a combination of at least two of P, Ti, Zr, V, Mn, Fe, Cu, Al, Si, Ni, Hf, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, or Re. According to the present application, a cerium-tin-based composite oxide catalyst having the characteristics such as high catalytic activity, high hydrothermal stability, excellent N.sub.2 generation selectivity, a wide operation temperature window, and adaptation to high space velocity reaction conditions is prepared by means of a non-toxic and harmless raw material and a simple method, and the present application is applicable to a device for catalyzing purification of a mobile source nitrogen oxide represented by diesel vehicle exhaust gas and a fixed source nitrogen oxide represented by flue gas from a coal-fired power plant.
