Structure for exhaust purification
There is provided a structure including: a substrate including a first and a second ends, and a porous partition wall defining a first and a second cells extending between the first and the second ends; a first catalyst; and a second catalyst. In a first area, the first catalyst is disposed on a first surface of the partition wall, and the partition wall with the first catalyst disposed on the partition wall is impermeable to gas. In a second area, the first catalyst is not provided, the second catalyst is disposed in a region including at least a part inside the partition wall, the part facing the first cell, and the partition wall with the second catalyst disposed in the partition wall is permeable to gas. In a third area, any of the first catalyst or the second catalyst is not provided, and the partition wall is permeable to gas.
CATALYSTS FOR GASOLINE ENGINE EXHAUST GAS TREATMENTS
A three-way catalyst article, and its use in an exhaust system for internal combustion engines, is disclosed. The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end and an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region comprising a first platinum group metal (PGM) component and a first oxygen storage capacity (OSC) material, wherein the first catalytic region has a washcoat porosity of less than 50%; and wherein the first OSC material has a pore: volume of at least 0.4 mL/g.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION DEVICE
An exhaust gas purification device includes a substrate including an upstream end and a downstream end and having a length Ls; a first containing Pd particles, extending between the upstream end and a first position, and being in contact with the substrate; a second containing Rh particles, extending between the downstream end and a second position, and being in contact with the substrate; and a third catalyst layer containing Rh particles, extending between the upstream end and a third position, and being in contact with at least the first catalyst layer, wherein an average of a Rh particle size distribution is from 1.0 to 2.0 nm, and a standard deviation of the Rh particle size distribution is 0.8 nm or less in each of the second catalyst layer and the third catalyst layer.

A NO.sub.x absorber catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a lean burn engine. The NO.sub.x absorber catalyst comprises a molecular sieve catalyst comprising a noble metal and a molecular sieve, wherein the molecular sieve contains the noble metal; an oxygen storage material for protecting the molecular sieve catalyst; and a substrate having an inlet end and an outlet end.

NITROGEN OXIDE STORAGE CATALYST
The present invention relates to a catalyst which comprises a carrier substrate of length L, which extends between a first end face a and a second end face b, and catalytically active material zones A, B and C of different composition, wherein—material zone A comprises palladium or palladium and platinum with a weight ratio of Pd:Pt>1, and cerium oxide, —material zone B comprises platinum or platinum and palladium with a weight ratio of Pt:Pd>1, and cerium oxide and/or cerium/zirconium mixed oxide, and—material zone C comprises platinum or platinum and palladium with a weight ratio of Pt:Pd>1, and a carrier oxide, and wherein—material zone B is arranged above material zone A, and—material zone C is arranged above material zone B, and, starting from the second end face b of the carrier substrate, extends over a length of up to 60% of the length L. The invention also relates to a catalyst arrangement containing said catalyst.

The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end with an axial length L; an inlet catalyst layer beginning at the inlet end and extending for less than the axial length L, wherein the inlet catalyst layer comprises an inlet palladium component; an outlet catalyst layer beginning at the outlet end and extending for less than the axial length L, wherein the outlet catalyst layer comprises an outlet rhodium component; and wherein the outlet catalyst layer overlaps with the inlet catalyst layer.
NOVEL TWC CATALYSTS FOR GASOLINE ENGINE EXHAUST GAS TREATMENTS
A three-way catalyst article, and its use in an exhaust system for internal combustion engines, is disclosed. The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end and an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region comprising a first platinum group metal (PGM) component and a first oxygen storage capacity (OSC) material, wherein the first OSC material has a fresh specific surface area (SSA) of at least 10 m.sup.2/g; and wherein the first OSC material has an SSA difference of no more than 30 m.sup.2/g between the fresh first OSC material and the aged first OSC material.
EXHAUST GAS CLEANING CATALYST
The present disclosure relates to an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst having a substrate and a catalyst coating layer coated on the substrate, in which the catalyst coating layer has an upstream-side coating layer formed from the upstream-side end portion of the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst in an exhaust gas flow direction and a downstream-side coating layer formed from the downstream-side end portion of the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst in the exhaust gas flow direction, when the upstream-side coating layer and the downstream-side coating layer overlap each other, the upstream-side coating layer is disposed on the downstream-side coating layer, and the upstream-side coating layer contains a catalytic metal and a ZrO.sub.2—CeO.sub.2 composite oxide in which Fe forms a solid solution.
