Honeycomb-structured catalyst for organic substance decomposition and organic substance decomposing apparatus
A honeycomb-structured catalyst for decomposing an organic substance, which includes a catalyst particle. The catalyst particle contains a perovskite-type composite oxide represented by A.sub.xB.sub.yM.sub.zO.sub.w, where the A contains at least of Ba and Sr, the B contains Zr, the M is at least one of Mn, Co, Ni, and Fe, y+z=1, 1.001≤x≤1.05, 0.05≤z≤0.2, and w is a positive value that satisfies electrical neutrality. The toluene decomposition rate is greater than 90% when toluene is decomposed using the honeycomb-structured catalyst subjected to a heat treatment at 1200° C. for 48 hours and a gas that contains 50 ppm toluene, 80% nitrogen, and 20% oxygen as a volume concentration as a target at a space velocity of 30,000/h and a catalyst temperature of 400° C.
MATERIAL FOR N2O DECOMPOSITION
The present invention concerns a material with a non-stoichiometric spinel-type crystalline structure based on cobalt oxide doped with alkaline elements, its production process for obtaining it by precipitation with controlled washing, and its particular use as a highly active catalyst in the N.sub.2O decomposition reaction. Therefore, we understand that the present invention is in the area of green industry aimed at reducing N.sub.2O emissions into the atmosphere.
EXHAUST PURIFICATION CATALYST
The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst in which platinum group metal migration from a catalyst layer to a base material during high temperature duration is suppressed. The exhaust gas purification catalyst disclosed herein includes a base material, a catalyst layer, and an intermediate layer arranged between the base material and the catalyst layer. The base material contains SiC. The catalyst layer contains a platinum group metal as a catalyst component. The intermediate layer contains substantially no platinum group metal. A product of a thickness of the intermediate layer (μm) and a specific surface area (m.sup.2/g) of the intermediate layer is 1100 or more.
TITANIUM-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK PHOTOCATALYST FOR ADSORPTION AND DECOMPOSITION OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND METHOD FOR REMOVING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND USING TITANIUM-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK
The present disclosure relates to a titanium-organic framework photocatalyst for adsorption and decomposition of a volatile organic compound, a method for preparing the same and a method for removing a volatile organic compound using a titanium-organic framework photocatalyst. More specifically, a hierarchical pore structure can be formed and a pore size can be controlled by preparing a titanium-organic framework photocatalyst by coordination bonding a titanium precursor to a mixture of two carboxylic acid compounds having different electronegativity, as organic linkers, at an optimized ratio. The titanium-organic framework photocatalyst exhibits improved efficiency of adsorbing and decomposing a volatile organic compound (VOC) and can improve the photocatalytic degradation rate of the volatile organic compound (VOC).
Twc catalysts for gasoline engine exhaust gas treatments
A three-way catalyst article, and its use in an exhaust system for internal combustion engines, is disclosed. The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end and an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region comprising a first platinum group metal (PGM) component and a first oxygen storage capacity (OSC) material, wherein the first OSC material has a fresh specific surface area (SSA) of at least 10 m.sup.2/g; and wherein the first OSC material has an SSA difference of no more than 30 m.sup.2/g between the fresh first OSC material and the aged first OSC material.
ZEOLITE WITH CU AND PD CO-EXCHANGED IN A COMPOSITE
The present disclosure provides catalyst compositions and catalytic articles capable of storing and/or reducing nitrogen oxide (NO.sub.x) emissions in engine exhaust, catalyst articles coated with such compositions, and processes for preparing such catalyst compositions and articles. The catalyst compositions include copper and palladium co-exchanged zeolites. Further provided is a process for preparing such co-exchanged zeolites, an exhaust gas treatment system including the catalytic articles disclosed herein, and methods for reducing NO in an exhaust gas stream using such catalytic articles and systems.
Exhaust Gas Purification Catalyst
In accordance with the technology herein disclosed, an exhaust gas purification catalyst exhibiting a high exhaust gas purifying performance using a new rare earth-containing material is provided. The exhaust gas purification catalyst herein disclosed includes a base material and a catalyst layer formed on the surface of the base material. The catalyst layer of such an exhaust gas purification catalyst includes rare earth-carrying alumina 50 including a primary particle of a rare earth particle 40 including at least one rare earth element carried on the surface of an alumina carrier 30 including alumina, and the average particle diameter D.sub.50 based on TEM observation of the rare earth particle 40 in the rare earth-carrying alumina 50 is 10 nm or less. As a result of this, it is possible to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst having high NOx adsorption performance and CO adsorption performance
Methods for gas phase oxidative desulphurization of hydrocarbons using CuZnAl catalysts promoted with group VIB metals
A catalytic composition is disclosed, which exhibits an X-ray amorphous oxide with a spinel formula, and crystals of ZnO, CuO, and at least one Group VIB metal oxide, and preferably, at least one acidic oxide of B, P. or Si, as well. The composition is useful in oxidative processes for removing sulfur from gaseous hydrocarbons.
A SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION CATALYST AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARING A SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION CATALYST
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide comprising, among other steps, preparing a second aqueous mixture comprising water and an iron salt; and disposing the second mixture on the substrate obtained according to (ii), comprising a coating comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper, over y % of the substrate axial length from the inlet end to the outlet end of the substrate, wherein y is in the range of from 10 to x, obtaining a substrate comprising, in a first zone, the coating comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper and over y % of the substrate axial length an iron salt; and, if x > y, in a second zone extending from y % to x % of the substrate axial length from the inlet end to the outlet end, the coating comprising a zeolitic material comprising copper.

A three-way catalyst article, and its use in an exhaust system for internal combustion engines, is disclosed. The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end and an outlet end with an axial length L; and a first catalytic region on the substrate; wherein the first catalytic region comprises a first PGM component and a first alumina, wherein the first alumina is doped with a first dopant of at least 5 wt. %, and wherein the first dopant is selected from the group consisting of Zr, Ta, Mo, W, Ti, Nb, and a combination thereof.
