AGENT FOR REMOVING HALOGEN GAS, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, METHOD FOR REMOVING HALOGEN GAS WITH USE OF SAME, AND SYSTEM FOR REMOVING HALOGEN GAS
An agent for removing a halogen gas, such as chlorine, in a waste gas by means of reduction; a method for producing this agent; a method for removing a halogen gas by use of this agent; and a system for removing a halogen gas. The agent for removing the halogen gas contains at least pseudo-boehmite, that serves as a host material, and a sulfur-containing reducing agent, that serves as a guest material. 1-8% by weight of the reducing agent, in terms of elemental sulfur, based on the total amount of the pseudo-boehmite and sulfur-containing reducing agent is present in the agent. At least one inorganic compound selected from among oxides, carbonates salts and hydrocarbon salts of alkaline earth metal elements, transition metal elements and zinc group elements is additionally contained in the agent as a third component.
Slurry control system
A system for regulating an amount of fresh lime slurry introduced to a spray dry absorber. The control system includes a controller configured to receive input from a continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS), a valve in communication with the controller and a spray dry absorber suction pump, the valve adapted to regulate an amount of fresh lime slurry provided to the spray dry absorber suction pump and a valve in communication with the controller and a pre-mix tank, the valve adapted to regulate an amount of fresh lime slurry provided to the pre-mix tank.
Vacuum pumping and abatement system
The present invention relates to a vacuum pumping and abatement system for evacuating processing gas from a process chamber and removing noxious substances from the processing gas. The present invention also relates to a method of purging a vacuum pumping arrangement. The present invention seeks to reduce the cost of ownership and operation and carbon footprint of such systems, by providing a vacuum pumping and abatement system for evacuating processing gas from a process chamber and removing noxious substances from the processing gas, comprising a vacuum pumping arrangement for evacuating processing gas from a process chamber; a source of compressed air for purging the vacuum pumping arrangement during evacuation; and a burner for receiving processing gas and compressed air from the vacuum pumping arrangement and removing noxious substances therefrom by burning the processing gas in oxygen wherein at least some of the oxygen that supports combustion is derived from the compressed air.
High temperature layered mixed-metal oxide materials with enhanced stability
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards methods for preparing mixed-metal oxide particles by heating adamantane-intercalated layered double-hydroxide (LDH) particles at a reaction temperature of from 400 C. to 800 C. to form mixed-metal oxide particles. The adamantane-intercalated LDH particles have a general formula [M.sub.1-xAl.sub.x(OH).sub.2](A).sub.x.mH.sub.2O, where x is from 0.14 to 0.33, m is from 0.33 to 0.50, M is chosen from Mg, Ca, Co, Ni, Cu, or Zn, and A is adamantane carboxylate, and an aspect ratio greater than 100. The aspect ratio is defined by the width of an adamantane-intercalated LDH particle divided by the thickness of the adamantane-intercalated LDH particle. The mixed-metal oxide particles comprise a mixed-metal oxide phase containing M, Al or Fe, and carbon.
ENHANCED INJECTION OF MERCURY OXIDANTS
The disclosure relates generally to reducing mercury emissions from a coal power plant. Specifically, a method for treating a gas stream containing mercury is provided that includes injecting a mercury oxidant or absorbent and a carrying agent into a gas stream that was produced by heating or burning a carbonaceous fuel comprising mercury. The carrying agent vaporizes after being injected into the gas stream. The mercury oxidant or absorbent and a carrying agent may be injected before passing the gas stream into a gas scrubber.

Vacuum pump with abatement function
A vacuum pump with abatement function is used for evacuating a chamber of a manufacturing apparatus. The vacuum pump with abatement function includes a vacuum pump having a discharge port to which at least one abatement part for treating an exhaust gas discharged from the vacuum pump to make the exhaust gas harmless is attached. The abatement part is selected from a plurality of abatement parts having different treatment types of exhaust gas and/or different treatment amounts of exhaust gas and/or different treatment performances of exhaust gas.
Flexible fuel system for combustion abatement
A system to abate an emission from a first semiconductor process is disclosed. The system includes an abatement apparatus, such as a gas scrubber, to remove hazardous and toxic gas species from the emission. The abatement apparatus may combust the emission to remove these gas species using a fuel and oxidant. The system includes a fuel assembly fluidly coupled to the abatement apparatus which transmits the fuel from at least one source through the abatement apparatus. The fuel assembly may include a supply tank which contains a volume of fuel, a recovery apparatus which recovers and contains a recovery volume of fuel from a second semiconductor process, and a mass flow controller which may transmit fuel from at least one of the supply tank and the recovery apparatus through the abatement apparatus.
