PROCESS FOR DESORPTION OF AMMONIA CHEMICAL SPECIES USING CARBON DIOXIDE, AMMONIA CHEMICAL SPECIES-PROVIDING AGENT, AND APPARATUS FOR ADSORPTION AND DESORPTION OF AMMONIA CHEMICAL SPECIES
An ammonia chemical species desorption process desorbs ammonia chemical species adsorbed onto a Prussian blue derivative more simply at lower cost under milder conditions as compared with using an aqueous solution of a salt or strong acid, and only water. This ammonia chemical species desorption process includes an ammonia chemical desorption step of bringing carbon dioxide and water into contact with a Prussian blue derivative represented by the following general formula (1), thereby desorbing an ammonia chemical species.
A.sub.xM[M′(CN).sub.6].sub.y.zH.sub.2O (1)
where x is 0 to 3, y is 0.1 to 1.5, z is 0 to 6, A is at least one cation of hydrogen, ammonium, an alkaline metal, and an alkaline earth metal, and M and M′ are each independently at least one cation of at least one of atoms having atomic numbers 3 to 83 except for ammonium, an alkali metal, and an alkaline earth metal.
Mixed metal sorbents for CO.SUB.2./H.SUB.2.O displacement desorption
The disclosure generally relates to CCS sorbents, particularly for CO.sub.2/H.sub.2O displacement desorption process. The sorbents include an aluminum oxide support that includes two alkali metal salts impregnated on the support. The two alkali metals include a potassium metal salts and a second alkali metal salt which is not potassium. The second metal salt disrupts poisoning effects that degrade sorbent lifetime. The sorbents demonstrate improved CO.sub.2 loadings and better H.sub.2O/CO.sub.2 ratios, as well as improved stability. Compositions and methods of making are disclosed.
Evaporated fuel processing device
An evaporated fuel processing device is installed to a vehicle having an internal combustion engine and a fuel tank and is configured to process evaporated fuel generated through evaporation of fuel in the fuel tank. A control device of the evaporated fuel processing device is configured to adjust an opening degree of a sealing valve based on a pressure of vapor-phase gas sensed with a pressure sensor and a concentration of evaporated fuel in the vapor-phase gas sensed with a concentration sensor and thereby adjust a supply amount of the evaporated fuel supplied to an air intake pipe at a time of executing a purge operation, in which the vapor-phase gas is purged from the fuel tank to the air intake pipe of the internal combustion engine.
SCRUBBER APPARATUS FOR CARBON DIOXIDE REMOVAL AND CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE OPERATING METHOD
The disclosure relates to an activated carbon scrubber apparatus 300 and a method of its operation for carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) removal from a controlled environment. The scrubber apparatus is configured to switch between: an adsorption configuration in which it is configured to provide CO.sub.2-rich gas from the controlled environment to a sorbent bed 302 comprising activated carbon for CO.sub.2 adsorption, and to return the treated gas to the controlled environment; and a regeneration configuration in which it is configured to provide a regenerating gas from outside of the controlled environment to the sorbent bed to desorb CO.sub.2 and regenerate the activated carbon, and to discharge CO.sub.2-rich gas outside of the controlled environment. The method comprises alternately operating the scrubber apparatus in the adsorption configuration and the regeneration configuration over a plurality of cycles, wherein the scrubber apparatus is operated at a cycle frequency of between 4 and 30 cycles per hour. A heater 303 is controlled to heat the sorbent bed in the regeneration configuration.
Air purification device
An air purification device includes an adsorption block, a housing, an introduction port for indoor air, an introduction port for heated air, a return port for indoor air, and a discharge port for used regeneration air. The adsorption block adsorbs purification target substances in indoor air, and is regenerated by dispersing the adsorbed purification target substances by circulating heated air. The housing accommodates the adsorption block therein. The introduction port for indoor air and the introduction port for heated air are provided on one end side of the housing. The return port for indoor air and the discharge port for used regeneration air are provided on the other end side of the housing. An insulating layer is provided between the housing and an outer surface of the adsorption block.
COMPRESSED AIR PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
The present disclosure provides a compressed air processing system of which the operation of supplying compressed air and the regeneration operation can be efficiently controlled by an electronic control unit. In particular, the present disclosure is characterized in that the pressure of a regeneration sequence valve installed in a regeneration line is increased over a set pressure by controlling a valve, which is electronically controlled, to switch, so the opening time of the regeneration line is delayed in comparison to the opening time of an unloader valve, whereby regeneration efficiency is improved.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING LIQUID WATER USING HIGHLY EFFICIENT TECHNIQUES THAT OPTIMIZE PRODUCTION
Systems and methods for producing water from process gas are provided herein. The systems include a water generating system that adjusts the pressure and temperature conditions surrounding a hygroscopic material in order to release water vapor generated by exposure of the hygroscopic material to the process gas.
Method for Hydrogen Production and Hydrogen Production Device
When a product gas producing operation is stopped, a purge operation is executed in which steam purge processing and product gas purge processing are sequentially performed. The steam purge is supplying, instead of a source gas, a product gas from a product gas tank to a reformer using a compressor, and supplying a reformed gas from a reforming processing unit to a plurality of adsorption towers, which perform a pressure swing adsorption operation, while the reformer is heated by a heating burner and steam is supplied to the reformer. The product gas purge is supplying the product gas from the product gas tank to the reformer using the compressor, and supplying the product gas from the reforming processing unit to the plurality of adsorption towers, which perform the pressure swing adsorption operation, while the supply of the steam is stopped and the heating of the reformer is maintained.
