PSA process with one active step per phase time

Pressure shift adsorption (PSA) process for producing a gas stream enriched with compound X from a feed gas stream, using N adsorbers with N5, each adsorber being subjected to a pressure cycle having a phase time corresponding to the duration of the pressure cycle divided by the number of adsorbers, and a series of active steps, characterized in that each adsorber n follows the pressure cycle with an offset of one phase time with respect to the pressure cycle of the adsorber n1 with nN, and during each phase time, only one active step or a part of active step takes place.

A carbon capture system can include a plurality of CO.sub.2 thermal swing adsorption (TSA) beds. The plurality of CO.sub.2 TSA beds can include at least a first TSA bed, a second TSA bed, and a third TSA bed configured to capture CO.sub.2 within a capture temperature range and to regenerate the captured CO.sub.2 at a regeneration temperature range above the capture temperature range. The carbon capture system can include a plurality of valves and associated flow paths configured to allow switching operational modes of each of the first, second, and third TSA beds.

PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN FROM BIOMASS

A method for producing hydrogen from biomass. For this purpose, the biomass is fed into a fluidized bed reactor, in which the biomass is converted into a flow of products. Solid particles are separated in at least one cyclone. Further solid particles and hydrocarbons are separated in a venturi scrubber. A flow of products is generated in the biodiesel scrubbing, which is fed into a water scrubbing and then to a cooling unit for separation. A flow of products is generated in the high-purification of gas, which is fed into a water gas conversion and CO.sub.2 removal. A flow of products is generated in the gas separation.

Swing adsorption processes and systems for controlling product composition

Provided are apparatus and systems for performing a swing adsorption process. In particular, the method and system involves swing adsorption processes and systems designed to lessen the temperature, pressure and product stream composition fluctuations in the adsorption step of a swing adsorption process, particularly involving preparation of the adsorption bed unit using feed stream cooling in conjunction with splitting the cooled feed stream to the adsorption bed units during adsorption steps while staggering the timing of back-to-back adsorption steps in the swing adsorption process. The process may be utilized for swing adsorption processes, such as rapid cycle TSA and/or rapid cycle PSA, which are utilized to remove one or more contaminants from a gaseous feed stream.
