20190247795 · 2019-08-15 · ·

A sea water desalination system and reverse osmosis element for use in a desalination system are provided. The reverse osmosis element includes a body of media material having opposed first and second ends. First and second end cap assemblies are adjacent the first and second ends of the body. A shell of wound composite material encapsulates and retains the body and first and second end cap assemblies together to define an integrated pressure vessel. Methods of assembling are also provided.

Method and system for cleaning membrane filters

The disclosure relates to a system and method for cleaning filters, such as membrane filters. More particularly, a method and system are disclosed for retaining a plurality of small particulates, preferably in the shape of beads, which contact sludge or other despots on the membrane filters to remove unwanted debris that would otherwise form on the cleaning filters. In various embodiments, the plurality of small particulates are retained in a permeable enclosure formed of wedgewire.

Self-supporting structure comprising a monobloc for installing cylindrical filtration cartridges therein. In one embodiment a structure provides two side panels on each side of the monobloc used for sealing the numerous passageways, at the same time, provided within the monobloc. Such a structure aims to sharply reduce the number of components required to install cylindrical filtration cartridges in a filtration plant, while keeping the same number of cartridges. Thus the invention contributes to highly reduce the investment and the maintenance costs of a filtration plant, and offers also the opportunity to reduce the operational cost of such a plant.

ROTATING FILTER ARRANGEMENT HAVING MULTIPLE HOLLOW SHAFTS
20180318737 · 2018-11-08 ·

A filtration arrangement for a filtration device having a container is provided. The filtration arrangement includes at least two hollow shafts rotatably mounted in a machine frame and on which a plurality of membrane filter disks are arranged. The at least one or the plurality of hollow shafts being assigned at least one drive device, the discharge of permeate from the container being possible through the hollow shafts, and it being possible to insert each hollow shaft at one of its ends with the plurality of membrane filter disks into the container, such that its opposite end projects out of the container. A rotatable pump disk, which forms part of a centrifugal pump arrangement for pumping permeate, is arranged or formed at the opposite end of each rotatable hollow shaft.

Membrane separation device

A membrane separation device is provided with membrane modules comprising multiple membrane elements, a frame body accommodating the membrane modules stacked in multiple stages, a stopper for closing an end portion of the frame body to prevent the membrane modules accommodated in the frame from being released, and elastic members which, arranged in a state of elastic deformation in the vertical direction in the frame with the end portion of the frame being closed, suppress vertical vibration of the membrane modules accommodated in the frame, whereby making it possible to avoid vibration of the membrane modules inside the frame body even if the volume of the membrane modules accommodated in the frame body varies.

Gas separation membrane module for reactive gas service

A gas separation membrane module includes a seal between a higher pressure gas and a lower pressure gas. The seal includes a compressible sealing member in between sealing surfaces. At least one of the sealing surfaces has corrosion-resistant cladding provided over either low alloy steel or high alloy steel. The cladding reduce the possibility of a seal failure due to corrosion of low alloy or high alloy steel exposed to acid gases or condensed moisture containing acid gases dissolved therein while at the same not requiring that all surfaces of the membrane module exposed to acid gases be provided with cladding.
