DISPENSING SYSTEM

A dispensing system for delivery of a dispersant from a canister containing an erodible but cakeable water dispersant wherein the cakeable water dispersant in a one piece caked condition falls to a bottom of a divergent walled canister so the water flowing through a bottom portion of the canister continues to maintain erodible contact with the dispersant as the water disperant is consumed.

Method and apparatus for dosing a dissolvable chemical to water

A method of treating water includes directing a stream of water towards a lateral side of a water treatment substance body contained within a holder. The water stream serves to abrade the water treatment substance body, thereby to dose the water with the water treatment substance. Dosed water is thus formed. The dosed water is allowed to pass through at least one opening in the holder.

A method of dissolving a soluble disinfectant in solid format in a stream of water flowing in flow path, to provide an aqueous disinfectant solution in the flow path, includes directing a stream of water along the flow path toward a disinfectant dissolution zone in a disinfectant dispensing device located in the flow path. In the disinfectant dissolution zone, soluble disinfectant in solid format is located. Water of the stream of water contacts the disinfectant in the dissolution zone and thus dissolves of the disinfectant, thereby forming a disinfectant solution in the flow path in the dispensing device. Prior to water of the stream of water contacting the disinfectant, in a flow modification zone that is in the flow path in the dispensing device at an effective distance upstream of the disinfectant dissolution zone, at constant volumetric flow rate of the stream of water, one or more flow characteristics of water of the stream of water are artificially modified, for modified impact of water of the stream of water onto the disinfectant, by means of a flow modifying component that is located in the flow modification zone.

A system and a method make a saltwater solution for electrolysis through the process of flowing water through a salt chamber to dissolve salt crystals and outputting the resulting saltwater solution into a saltwater container. The system includes a salt chamber, a remaining quantity of salt crystals, a filter, and a saltwater container. The salt chamber is a chamber that contains the remaining quantity of salt crystals. The salt chamber and the saltwater container are in fluid communication with each other, and thus, the saltwater container can receive the resulting saltwater solution. The salt chamber includes a chamber inlet and a chamber outlet. The filter is connected across the chamber outlet in order to retain undissolved salt crystals within the salt chamber.

System and method for dissolving detergent tablets or granulate

The present invention relates to a system for dissolving at least one detergent tablet or detergent granulate in water and thereby creating a detergent liquid, said system comprising a chamber (103) for dissolving said tablets or granulate, wherein said chamber comprises an opening (105) for receiving said detergent tablet and said water and a detergent liquid outlet (135, 137). The chamber further comprises an inner colander (125) for positioning said at least one tablet or detergent granulate. Thereby, a very efficient dissolving process can be performed, and a uniform detergent liquid is obtained. By positioning the tablets or granulate inside the colander, it is ensured that all sides of the tablet are in contact with the liquid in the chamber.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate, a counter-substrate, a negative liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules, a retardation film attached to a surface of the array substrate, a first polarizer attached to the retardation film and having a first absorption axis, a second polarizer attached to a surface of the counter-substrate, and having a second absorption axis which is parallel to a direction of initial alignment of the liquid crystal molecules and perpendicular to the first absorption axis, a cover member located opposite to the second polarizer, and ultraviolet curing resin which bonds the second polarizer and the cover member to each other.

PORTABLE SOLID PRODUCT DISPENSER

A portable dispensing system for dispensing a solution of a fluid and a solid product includes a fluid line, a dispenser, and a cartridge. The fluid line includes a first and second fluid line ends and a fluid source connection at the first fluid line end. The dispenser is at the second fluid line end. The dispenser includes a body and a fluid outlet. The cartridge houses the solid product and includes a fluid inlet and a solution outlet. The cartridge is removably connected at the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet of the dispenser. The cartridge is configured to receive fluid from the fluid outlet of the dispenser such that fluid contacts the solid product housed in the cartridge and dissolves at least a portion of the solid product forming the solution. The cartridge is also configured to output the solution at the solution outlet.

MICROFLUIDIC DEVICES

The present disclosure relates to a microfluidic device including a microfluidic substrate and dry reagent-containing particles. The microfluidic substrate includes an ingress microfluidic channel that fluidly feeds an egress microfluidic channel through a microfluidic-retaining region that includes a microfluidic discontinuity feature, a particle-retaining chemical coating, or a combination thereof. The dry reagent-containing particles include a reagent that is releasable from the dry reagent-containing particles when exposed to a release fluid. The dry reagent-containing particles are retained within the microfluidic substrate at the microfluidic discontinuity feature or particle-retaining chemical coating in position to release the reagent into the egress microfluidic channel upon flow of release fluid from the ingress microfluidic channel through the microfluidic-retaining region.

Dispenser

A system, a cartridge and a dispensing valve for eliminating a drift or sag in BCDMH output from an inline dispensing valve containing a dispensing cartridge mountable within the inline dispensing valve with the dispensing cartridge containing a batch of water erodible cluster inhibiting BCDMH particles to provide a linear output flow of BCDMH which is responsive to flow of water though a cartridge in the dispensing valve and a method of obtaining a linear output in a dispensing system by increasing the size of particles in a dispensing cartridge in the system.
