CONFINED PLUNGING LIQUID JET REACTOR WITH MODIFIED DOWNCOMER
The confined plunging liquid jet reactor with modified downcomer includes a downcomer having an upper end, an open lower end, and a gas inlet for receiving gas. A plurality of longitudinally-extending baffles and/or a sieve are mounted in the downcomer, adjacent the open lower end thereof. A nozzle is mounted on the upper end of the downcomer for receiving a pressurized liquid from an external source to generate a liquid jet. The liquid jet impinges on liquid contained within the downcomer creating turbulence and bubbles with the gas entrained therein. The open lower end of the downcomer is positioned within a receiving tank holding a reservoir of the liquid such that a portion of the mixture of the liquid and the gas exits the open lower end of the downcomer to flow into the receiving tank.

Systems and Methods of Controlling a Concentration of Microbubbles and Nanobubbles of a Solution for Treatment of a Product
A system may include a circulation subsystem and a circuit coupled to the circulation subsystem. The circuit may provide one or more signals to control the circulation subsystem to circulate a treatment solution including one or more of microbubbles or nanobubbles in a selected ratio. In one aspect, the nanobubbles may include a first gas, and the microbubbles may include a second gas. In another aspect, the treatment solution may include a first percentage of nanobubbles and a second percentage of microbubbles.
System for humidifying gas streams
In accordance with embodiments of this disclosure, a gas humidifier system includes a reservoir of liquid with at least one selectively permeable tube at least partially submerged within the liquid. A gas stream may be fed into the selectively permeable tube that passes through the liquid reservoir. The selectively permeable tube may be substantially impermeable to the gas flowing therethrough but permeable to vapor (e.g., water vapor) entering the selectively permeable tube from the liquid. Thus, vapor from the liquid reservoir can enter the selectively permeable tube and humidify the gas flowing therethrough.
Methods and Apparatus for Gas Stream Mass Transfer with a Liquid
A system for performing a gas-liquid mass transfer includes a container bounding a compartment and having a top wall, a bottom wall, and an encircling sidewall extending therebetween. A tube has a first end and an opposing second end, the first end of the tube being disposed within the compartment of the container. A nozzle is disposed within the compartment of the container and has at least one outlet, the nozzle being coupled with the tube so that a gas can be passed through the tube and out the at least one outlet of the nozzle. The nozzle is sufficiently buoyant so that when a fluid is disposed within the compartment of the container, the nozzle floats on the fluid.
FOAM FRACTURING FLUID WITH DOUBLE INTERFACE LAYERS OF A PHLOGISTICATED AIR-LIQUID CO2 FOR SHALE GAS PRODUCTION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The disclosure discloses a foam fracturing fluid with double interface layers of a phlogisticated air-liquid CO.sub.2 for shale gas development, and a preparation method thereof. The foam fracturing fluid is prepared from a liquid CO.sub.2 phase, a gas phase and a nano-enhancer; the liquid CO.sub.2 phase is formed by dissolving a mixture of gas-soluble foaming agents in liquid CO.sub.2; the gas phase is a gas mixture of phlogisticated air and saturated vapor of the liquid CO.sub.2; the nano-enhancer is an aqueous solution of a mixture of hydrophobic silica nanoparticles, a cosolvent and a water-soluble surfactant. In the fracturing fluid prepared by the present disclosure, the phlogisticated air was encapsulated by the liquid CO.sub.2 to form an interface layer, the liquid CO.sub.2 was further encapsulated by the nano-enhancer to form the other interface layer, which enhanced the structural stability of the fracturing fluid while achieving high viscosity and thermal stability.
