Microbubble aerator
11254595 · 2022-02-22 ·

An aerating system for treating a waste lagoon or some type of wastewater that captures and recirculates air that has been previously pumped into the lagoon via a skirt. The system also utilizes an oxygen source to pump oxygen into the waste lagoon or wastewater that can also be recirculated. A manifold of the system is designed to have intakes for both the recirculated air and for the oxygen source.

Flow straightening vane for aerator

The present inventions are generally directed to surface aerators for aerating water or wastewater in a basin, lagoon or tank. In particular, the present inventions relate to flow straightening vanes incorporated into an aerator volute tube that straighten the intake and discharge flow thereby minimizing or eliminating torque on the unit and on the mooring components of the aeration assembly. The present inventions also improve mixing and aeration.

Pressurized Liquid Stream With Dissolved Gas

Devices and methods for extraction of a beverage from a beverage bottle, such as a wine bottle, using an extraction device. An aeration nozzle may be used to generate one or more jets of beverage arranged to expose the beverage to ambient air or other surrounding gas.

TUBULAR REACTOR WITH MIXING MEANS
20230149888 · 2023-05-18 ·

A process and apparatus wherein a process material comprising two or more distinct phases are fed continuously to a tubular reactor containing an agitator wherein as the phases flow along the reactor the agitator displaces at least part of a first phase from its natural position to within a second phase where it is distributed within the second phase by the agitator and the agitator is designed to allow the first phase that is distributed within the second phase to flow naturally back towards its natural distinct position within the reactor as the phases pass through the reactor, useful for mixing and/or reacting liquid/liquid; gas/gas and liquid/gas mixtures as well as solid liquid mixtures.

Method for Bubble-Free Gas-Enrichment of a Flowing Liquid within a Conduit
20230022647 · 2023-01-26 ·

The present invention provides a system for enriching a flowing liquid with a dissolved gas inside a conduit. The system comprises two or more capillaries, each capillary delivering a stream of a gas-enriched liquid to the flowing liquid. The first ends of the capillaries are positioned to form an intersecting angle with respect to the effluent streams such that these streams of gas-enriched liquid collide with each other upon exit from the first ends of the capillaries, effecting localized convective mixing within the larger liquid conduit before these gas-enriched streams are able to come into close contact with the boundary surfaces of the conduit, whereby the gas-enriched liquid mixes with the flowing liquid to form a gas-enriched flowing liquid. In the preferred embodiment, no observable bubbles are formed in the gas-enriched flowing liquid. Methods of making and using such system are also provided.

The invention relates to the food industry. A method of saturating a beverage with CO2 comprises supplying the liquid and the gas under pressure, increasing the mass transfer surface, intensively mixing the components in a chamber, and subsequently feeding them into a storage tank. The mass transfer surface is increased abruptly prior to mixing by converting the liquid to a moist saturated vapor state, and the vapor-gas mixture is condensed before feeding into the storage tank. Also described is a device for saturating a beverage with CO2, which device is in the form of a water-air ejector.
