A device for injecting a fluid internally of a flow of loose material, comprising: a feeder (2) of loose material (100), provided with a lower discharge mouth (24) through which the loose material (100) flows along a descending direction (Y); an injector (3), predisposed to inject a fluid onto the loose material (100), which injector (3) is located below the discharge mouth (24) such as to be positioned internally of the flow of loose material (100).

A slurry mixing system calculates a density of a slurry using measured pressure differential and based on a bulk velocity of the slurry. Slurry from mixing of dry blend and mix fluid enters a one or more tanks having agitators. A pump then pumps the slurry from the tank(s) to the well, and a portion of the slurry is recirculating back to a mixer. From the recirculated path, a direct slurry weight sensor measures a pressure differential of the slurry between two vertical measurement points of a known volume. The sensor can measure a velocity of the recirculated slurry, or the recirculated slurry can be maintained at a velocity. Based on these measures, the controller calculates a density of the slurry, monitors a ratio of the dry blend and the mix fluid, and adjusts the ratio based on the calculated density of the slurry if there is a discrepancy.

A mixing apparatus for mixing powder and liquid, includes: an apparatus main body having an internal space; a cylindrical member arranged in the internal space with one end facing upward and the other end facing downward, the one end and the other end being opened; a powder dispersing portion arranged above the apparatus main body, the powder dispersing portion dispersing the powder into a space of the cylindrical member; a liquid spraying portion arranged in a vicinity of the powder dispersing portion, the liquid spraying portion spraying the liquid into a space of the cylindrical member; a collection portion arranged below the apparatus main body, the collection portion collecting a mixed powder consisting of the powder dispersed by the powder dispersing portion and the liquid sprayed by the liquid spraying portion; a filter arranged around the cylindrical member in the internal space; and a discharge port discharging air in the internal space through the filter.

Methods, processes, and apparatuses for preparing and transporting bitumen. Bitumen may be prilled such that a bitumen product comprising a prill core and a non-stick coating is produced. The non-stick coating may comprise asphaltenes and the prill core may comprise bitumen, deasphalted oil, or both bitumen and deasphalted oil. The resultant non-stick coated prills have reduced adhesion to transportation vessels and other non-stick coated prills at a temperature below an adhesion temperature, facilitating transport.
